I have an inter-OS setup (XP home and 98SE) and it works fine, although I did need some help getting it working initally.

To network 2 computers together all you need is: An ethernet network card in each computer, A Cat5 CROSSOVER cable. Once you've got that you plug the network cards together and set up windows (which is the hard part) and you have a network. Another setup is (which I use): A hub (£10), 2 Cat5 (NON-CROSSOVER) cables. Cable one goes into one computer and into the hub, cable two goes into the hub and the other computer. You need Internet Connection Sharing on the computer that is also connected to the internet.

It probably has something to with the fact that you need 2 copies of the game to play.

So you have an upstream speed of 2Mb? Well it might be a firewall or someone else might be using your connection at the same time which would reduce your bandwidth.

Well be careful when buying an LCD (flatscreen) moniter as they look fuzzy outside their native resolutions, I think most have native resolutions of 1024*768 - mine does. Also you must buy one with a response time of less than 16 miliseconds otherwise playing games will cause the screen to blur.

I have a bog-standard 17 inch regular moniter and it's fine. I also have a top-of-the-range 15 inch flatscreen (16ms refresh rate) and it does noticably reduce glare.

PAL = better.

Well no aircraft have been coded in Renegade (only helicopters) so I don't think it's possible to put aircraft in.

Download them and extract to The Command & Conquer Generals (or Zero Hour) directory in My Documents.
