I was reading some stuff on PC world earlier today, and apparently LG just introduced a 31" OLED TV that's only 2.9mm thick, and has 1920x1080 resolution (i.e. HD). Not sure how much any of you have read up on them, but here's a quick summary of their advantages/disadvantages at the moment: Apparently, DuPont earlier this summer printed a 50-inch display that they claim can last 15 years if used 8 hours/day. Not only that, but as much as 30% cost-savings over traditional LEDs can be had. This is an overview of how they do it. I hope they're successful, because right now, a 15" OLED TV from LG is £1,502.00 ($2,337 USD, $3,202 NZD).

The Forgotten Mod On Pace for Release
F15pilotX replied to dbjs2009's topic in Command & Conquer News
Man, looking at the team's ModDB page, they have a number of impressive projects going on. Can't wait to play this! -
It looks a bit neater this way; I like it

Let me rephrase: I had already corrected completed the problem before I *posted* it. Do you know of any sites that might buy back computers at a decent price to refurbish them? Or is Craigslist pretty much going to be the best way if I'm trying to sell, say, my 18.4" laptop?

I think it has something to do with the clouds approaching an opposing front and not being able to push through it. Pretty cool stuff.

Sorry for the response lag, been busy with school. It was my school homework, but I had already gotten it right by the time I asked you. It was a square pyramid, my bad for not including the information..you were right on both counts though, haha.
-
Here's a fun one for you. You have a frustrum of a pyramid with top (shorter) side length a, and bottom (longer) side length b; height is h. Express the volume of the solid using only the variables b, h, and a.

And I had thought that I'd never play C&C 95...looks like I'll have to play it now. That increased resolution looks awesome

Nothing, for the first time since I can remember. School can be a pain in some areas. =/

Which game do you think will be the best of 2011?
F15pilotX replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Gaming Discussion
Agreed. Too bad they're probably going to suck from now on, with 2/3 of Infinity Ward at Respawn Entertainment now, and Treyarch still hasn't made much worth playing. If I ever play the next few CoD's, it'll be at a friend's house. For best though, SC II or Diablo III. -
Looks good!

I think I might actually get this one. Looks like a much better story than ODST - the book, at least, was excellent, if not about the same team of spartans.

Copying Opera much? I'll stay with my current version tyvm. =/

Late, but: how much did that all cost (excluding the last 4 HDDs)?
-
I'm callin' 15 months.

This, since Renegade is in the Tiberium universe I suppose.

WD always for me. Any luck now with the HDD?

This is cool man, good work! -
That didn't include Korea, though, which I suspect would boost it a tad

New CNCNZ.com|C&C365 Poll: Announcement of the Next C&C
F15pilotX replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
This. A new universe with a well-thought out storyline and attention to detail throughout the game would be awesome. No need to change the core gameplay from C&C-style, but there are PLENTY of things that can be changed without hurting that (as the above-mentioned one shows). -
Starcraft II. Generals, Renegade, and some Empire: Total War occasionally as well.

Interview with EA Goodman's Community Team
F15pilotX replied to dbjs2009's topic in Command & Conquer News
Whatever the new game will be isn't the only game in the series. I realize y'all have multiple franchises to work with, but considering how many more are on staff, and how many games there are to work with, why should it be 'quiet'? On the other hand, if it's going to be quiet from the 'official side', then it WOULD be good to spit up the 'C&C Community' news into individual posts. It's helpful for all the users browsing the site, and I'm sure the people putting time into the projects making the news would appreciate it a lot. You could move the facebook & preorder ads to the left side and shrink them, which would give some room for each post to have a description as well. I appreciate you coming over here Silvanoshi, even if my post doesn't sound like it. Those are strong series, but not nearly as much so as C&C. Honestly, I see no reason C&C shouldn't be as 'well supported and shining' as the Starcraft series - it's quite frustrating, actually. When the community starts making patches for games, that should be a rather strong hint there is a problem.
