Well, just a couple of points... BWare - let us hope that EA have learned from the last outing that real CnC fans would like to see a CnC/RA storyline in the next outing. It would even be quite possible to shoehorn the Generals games into the RA timeline somewhere along the way... even as an alternate reality.... Publix - just because a group of internet folk considers the game to be abandonware doesn't make it so. I deal a great deal with a boardgame called Talisman that has been out of print for nearly 20 years and the copyright owner has no intentions of rereleasing it, but they still guard their Intellectual Property with a passion. Seeing as EA are rereleasing the packs I think they will probably have a purge of all sites that carry illegal downloads of their games. I'll be buying The First Decade and hopefully within a couple of years we will see a new CnC game that everyone will be happy with (what an optimist!!) - We shall have to wait and see. Here's a thought.... Now that the original CnC and Red Alert are going to be re-released - how do you think EA games are going to treat sites that have downloads of the games that were thought to be some sort of Abandonware? Like the FullRA and MiniRA packages for instance. Cheers for now

Hey there Just thought I'd report that they've added a little content to the the EA site. It's just a pic of Kane which links to a "Community Update" outlining the Video submission guidelines etc. Nothing mentioned about the game strangely... Go check out www.commandandconquer.com Be warned. Firefox users will be presented with the news in a black font over dark blue.. yeuck... IE sees the page okay though... Cheers for now

We don't know that yet as it's not covered in the press release so far... As for Skirmish in TD. I highly doubt it. As I mentioned in a previous post, I think they will be as is, with patches on the disc to apply. As ever though, time will tell.... Cheers for now

I doubt they will do anything to update any of the games other than package the patches with them and possibly have that through the installer too. If you are after RA vs CnC vs Generals games then you will have to look to the community as that is where modding comes into it. I doubt it will ever come from EA. Ahh... you must have been playing with "REAL" real time enabled 7 minutes doesn't seem too bad to deploy something that big! Seriously. Some hopes or dreams for the release - * A new multi-game selection menu interface (a bit like Steam from Valve). Launch the menu and then you pick which "flavour" of CnC or RA you want. Being able to customise it would be cool too... * Maybe some other bonuses (a second DVD would easily hold this...) Dune 2 and Sole Survivor... <edit>I forgot Dune 2000!!! They have probably been told not to list it yet... Bit of a coincidence if it's not true... two random SA retailers listing a game with the same name, with a believable release date, at around the same time as this announcement?
