DOH. I jsut download 27 maps.. ALL for Zero Hour. Reading is your friend. :roll: :roll: Oh well. UPDATE: UGH. Now after deleting them, and removing them from teh recycle bin too, I found out they ARE CNCG maps, not ZH maps. Oh well, back thru 14 pages of maps to download again. lol

I'm downloading a bunch of maps that look like they'd be cool. I suppose that's pretty subjective, eh? Well, my main question is will these work with a CD installed CNC:G? (I haven't installed any patches at all, and about that.. SHOULD I?) FYI my PC is: AMD 64 3700+ (San Diego) ASRock Dual (AGP & PCI-E) SATA II Socket 939 Motherboard AGP x800 Pro 256mb 1GB Kingston Ram SB Audigy 2 ZS (gamer) Crappy Dell 17" Monitor Anything I forgot?

i only have the original C&C:Generals. Are the custom Skirmish maps you can download here for Zero Hour, because it's newer, or do they work on both? Can someone give me some names of good big maps with lots of resources/supplies?

Hey all, I'm new here. I've been playing C&C off and on for years... most recently C&C: Generals. I just moved, and have no broadband, so I can't play America's Army, CS:S, or BF 2 anymore lol, so it's back to the good ole standby, C&C: Generals! I love this game. I have a few questions about it though.. I just built a new PC, and I have just reinstalled the game from the CD. I saw some patches were out, first, do I need to patch all the way up from 1.01 or w/e to 1.8, or will the latest have it all? Also, do I really need to update it? It seems to run fine, with no real issues, but again, I haven't played it a whole lot.. just a bit recently again. It's a fun offline game for me. I love to play the Skirmish mode the best. The other question was about the custom maps. Do I need a certain version, or can I just download and play? I like the big maps with lots of resources, (yeah, call me a noob, or w/e, but I like to build up a big army, and go destroy the computer army lol, it's gets hard though, just to survive the Brutal or even the Hard Army's charges to be able to get strong enough. What are some of the best custom made Skirmish maps? I looked at some of them, but they seem to be in a dated order, if any order. Is there a way to reorder the maps by download or popularity? Sorry for all the questions in my first post, if I should post those in the specific sub-forum, please let me know and I'll cut it from here and paste it there.
