I started playing Ra2 & YR back in 'NAM, recently began playing it again and found this forum. Pretty cool. I'm from zi Netherlands (Amsterdam). Just saying hi 2 everyone Jonathan

I have empire at war now, and it is teh SJ*T! You really 'dont' have to worry about income a lot. It's just plain action. Compared to Ra2 / YR the games are MUCH shorter, like 10-15 minutes, and that is 10 - 15 minutes of action, which is also quite a timesaver ^^ The best thing though, are the special units (like Darth Vader's Tie / Darth Vader). Because they have cool taunts etc. 8) I still ike Ra2 etc. though and won't stop playing that.

I had something similair, with my english class (for the record I'm half english, speak it fluently - the gramma might not be flawless though - which I could tell you endless hilarious, but sad stories about).. We had to do a presentation about a subject of our own choice, I did paintball since that's one of my interests. Spent about 6 hours (one whole afternoon ) putting it together. It had footage and everything in it (I was btw the first one to use video footage in the presentation). It went pretty much flawlessly. But the rule was; the class and the teacher give amark, and the average of that is your grade. Everyone gives each other atleast a 6, so that (when it's your turn) they give you a 6 (on a scale of 1-10, that's the way we do it here in NL ) So everyone gave me a six, except one guy who thought it was good he gave me a 9. The teacher gave it an 8. WTF - flawless presentation, EVERYTHING in it had been my own words, thought out myself, EVERYTHING. All these other 'tossers' picked something up from the internet, and read it from a piece of paper with a bad accent. And their mark was not that much lower than mine. The next lesson, the last group to do a presentation - well does it It was sooo obvious they just plucked it from the internet. But they copied the idea of video footage, and played a donald duck video (their subject was Walt Disney, very original btw...). They got waaay higher than we did (me and a friend)., they had read it from a piece of paper + the video footage thing was not original + they had a bad accent, ours was also 2 times as long. pathetic. It's a bit late now, so screw mistakes i made in the post ^^

Why don't you slap down $250 for the whole of the Canadian Military I'd bag myself a tank, thus if I'm stuck in a traffic jam, I just have to go over the traffic instead. Hell if ya get sick of ur job, fire an explosive round into your boss' office. Problem solved :wink: lol, what quality :roll: I'd get meh own helicopter gunship ^^ And about that warranty, in feckin deed - you guys got ripped off !

It actually made me think about the 'intelligent design theory'. This could be how 'they' simulated it Game is indeed very original, this one breaks the 'always need good multiplayer' -rule for me..

When an alpha-part (don't know if that is the proper english term) reacts with the nucleous of a nitrogen atom, a proton is 'propelled' outwards. When you look at the total mass before and after the reaction, the mass after the reaction is slightly more. How that was possible (because normally the mass remains the same) was researched by Einstein. He found out that energie can be transformed into mass and vice versa. So it 'means' that mass can be transformed into energy and vice versa. But I think you really ment what the link between that and the atom bomb is? We asked our teacher, but I forgot. A hydrogen bomb is 5000 times more powerfull than an equal atom bomb (even though I doubt that ). - What is the smallest part of an atom? They believe an atom consists out protons (mass = 1 u), neutrons (mass = 1 u) and elektrons (mass = 0). Therefore an elektron is the smallest part. But there was another theory (or something) that quarks there were even smaller parts called quarks, but I don't know about those though. -How do elektrons work? Elektrons are negatively loaded, and protons positively (neutrons are not loaded at all). With loaded I mean, they have a positive / negative charge, you could compare it with a magnet. Elektrons are attracted to the positiveness of protons. There are multiple rings of protons around the atom nucleous, with each a specific number of protons, the more distance from the nucleous, the more elektrons per 'ring'. Now I don't know the rest, because I'm too lazy to look the rest up, in mah schoolbooks (shrödingers paradox wouldn't be in there anyway btw). Since you are all star wars fans ^^ (me to btw). I guess you'll be buying empire at war? Because I was pondering which one I should get, the first decade / empire at war ,but since I have already played most of the games in first decade, my choice was leaning over to empire at war

Indeed, I never did - cause I thought the character looked crap (and I didn't have the internet back then ^^) I forgot to mention 'stronghold crusader' btw, great game 2! Stronghold Crusader doesn't really add much to the game but a couple of right-from-the-start buyable units. And they have more or less the same weapons, too. The original Stronghold was much better :!: Especially its campaign. I didn't play the first stronghold. They aren't all buyable from the start btw, you need to have the 'stables' for instance, before you can buy a knight. I like it because of the castle building aspect (and the way it looks..) I didn't hear anyone comment on Earth 2150, I told you it was underrated ^^ (noone even knows it)

Ok. The only way to really 'test' it, is to play it. I guess you'll know then. When is this coming out by the way (and how is it gonna be called)?

Video 5 is a lioness vs a tigress, not a male lion vs a tigress. The female lion is the stronger than the male lion (in the wild) because they are the ones that go hunting. This is not in the wild though. The tiger has a camoflage (that might give it just the edge, even though i doubt it, but still it's something). What do you want to say with this? That a tigress is stronger? These 6 videos say nothing, there could be (for all I know) a 1000 video's of a male lion winning. We also don't know if the fight is 'fair' (e.g. ages / health of the two). I think there is no winner in any of the fights, except the one vs the lioness; where I think the tigress wins (with two headshots ) Lions hunt in 'packs' so they are better in teamwork, tigers dont.

Hehe, indeed - I still have the Mega Drive with sonic the hedgehog to, I thought Desert Strike was better though (and when I look back at it, it's THE game that made EA as big as it is now today). Their quality has gone down a lot though, which is a shame...

- Earth 2150 = SOOOO underrated. Try to play it via multiplayer, and compare it to C&C games. It's very different (but fun & interesting). And indeed Battle for Dune (even though I don't have the game myself) I thought that killzone would be THE shooter, bought it for the multiplayer & that was fun for a couple of hours. After that it was just boring. I also got pissed because of the unorthodox 'sniper zoom/scope'. Instead of moving the whole 'screen' to the left, it would move the cursor IN the screen to the left, until it reached the edge of the screen, THEN the screen would move....

Hi all - you dont know me 8) But I started playing Ra2 & YR about 3-4 years ago too. Here are a couple of suggestions I wanted to make: - Make the apoc non crushable (like Cygnus stated earlier).. OR - Make the apoc crushable, but you have to run over it twice or something (with your BF). All the new units are pretty cool (especially Rykov), but ALWAYS keep it simple, in other words don't over do it! It sounds like Rykov is going to be 'too strong' if he can destroy infantry AND armor in a "few bursts". Maybe make him strong in one thing whilst being medium in the other (or maybe both medium). And when he finally 'levels up' you could make him STRONG against both. And why not make snipers / seals garrison? I know it could be pretty annoying, but that's what they always are No one answered this question (I think it's a good idea): "What about making the rocket super fast,like it should be and the way it is in real life,give it bugger range than the Magnetron and Prism tank and then giving it 10% weaker armour,slower,but also cheaper.What do you think?"
