There's a reson there is distance between fans and players in most proffessional sports. Come to think of it, in all real proffessional sports.

2.5 to 3 definately. Besides it aparently has no title, so they're not that far along in dev yet, I'd expect it to take about a year after it gets a name.
-
Unless you're getting a collector's edition it's cds. 5 of them.
-
a Mudd? No thanks.
-
2gb leaves a nice margin.

It took 5 hours for the steam db to authenticate my key. I had been playing the whole time though... I'm in the middle of chapter 9 now. It's such an addictive experience. how do they do it?

"Into the Mines!"
-
No, I'm having problems getting myself to do other things I need to do.,
-
You know a game is good when you're having trouble not playing it.
-
I'm confused about where you're stuck...
-
Well, My collector's edition is in at the store, I just can't pick it up untill tomorrow morning.
-
Well, not really horrible. Some say it's worse than Doom 3, but I doubt anything could be that bad.
-
Everyone keeps saying the ending is horrible. Where are you?
-
Give them a chance at least. See what they're doing before even making judgements like that.
-
Have you beat single player?

They needed something high profile to start with, and I don't blame them for accepting when Lucasarts offered. Granted it's not what most of us want, but it's good for them to get established as a new company with strong ties to a very strong gaming universe. Granted the Star Wars RTSs have all reeked, but if they can be the first to get it right, and do it well at the same time, maybe Petroglyph's first game could help them get the money they need to make the game they want for themselves instead of making a game for other people.

I'll be buying an XboX with my copy of Halo 2, just because the TV ads look so good. Man, It'll be hard on the pocket, but I'm sure I'll be happier in the long run.
-
Congratulations, Man! Glad to hear it went off so easily. I'd buy you a pint if I could.

Doom 3 ended poorly and it shows, it's virtually invisible and stores are now over stocked. It's 6 years on and Half-life can still be barely kept on the shelves. Half-life 2 will sell better than any other game, and will likely crush Halo 2 in sales, despite the excessive hype Halo is getting. I cannot wait to start running through the streets of City 17. I can't wait to hear the G-man's voice. 7-8 more days any I'll be wearing my T-shirt and staring at my computer screen for hours on end. It'll be fun no matter what.

Firefox is a little faster and cleaner than IE, but it does lack a number of functions(plugins etc like media player have issues with it), however, it's still much better as you don't time out and lose the data(for me with my job, there's a lot) on a form you're trying to submit. It's never fun to do the work you just did all over again. That's why I primarily use Firefox, I do go back to IE every now and then.

But you shouldn't have to buy a whole new one just because Sony screwed up at the very beginning.
-
you sure you wouldn't want the extra 10 lbs of the xbox? I'd sure take weight over concealabiltiy, besides, I'm talking about a rolling around on the ground and you come upon and xbox and a ps2 side by side, not something to carry around, that's a little crazy.
-
Question: in a fight if you had to choose between and XboX and a PS2 to bash someone over the head, which would you choose?
-
Yeah, it has nothing to do with the quality of sport and everything to do with the fact that George Steinbrenner pays the payroll of $200 million US annually to a team that can't win the world series. Granted they have been dominant in the past, but the last 4 consectuive years they've lost. And they lost to teams they weren't supposed to. This year they were actually expected to lose going into the 7 game series against the Red Sox, but then they won the first 3 games. And lost the last 4, the first 2 Yankee losses were in games 5+ hours in length, and then the other two Boston looked like they were actually expected to going into the series. If you're not going to laugh at the Yankees, laugh at George Steinbrenner for wasting about $800 million US over 4 years.
