has something to do with 52x cd drives exceeding 50000 rpm, which will shatter just about anything that isn't spinning perfectly.

I'm going to take a leap off a cliff here and guess that niether of you were Spider-man fans before or after the movie.... 'cause for a fan, it was pretty close to perfect.
-
it's out on DVD in North America right now... Spider-man 2 is coming in July but there is a lot of other stuff between now and then, but most of it doesn't really interest me.

oh, and I've checked clock speeds for both gpu and ram, it's not faster...

I'll tell you my sister bought the 5200 for at least 50 dollars more. I should mention the Radeon is a powercolour, but the Radeon simply out performs it with any particle animation. there is very noticeable drop in FPS when any particles are generated with the FX, it's not a pretty thing to see, whereas the Radeon doesn't slow down at all.
-
nvidia is so slow it's not funny. this FX 5200 I'm forced to use is slower than a Radeon 9000 pro, which is old enough that FX boards didn't exist then. it's really sad.

shocker just explained that the phenotypes will evolve diffrently no matter what, and since we have yet to create an artificial womb with all possible variables covered, we cannot create exact clones(down to fingerprints and the minor variations in limb length etc...) them since we continue to rely on gestation within an actual womb.
-
but one cannot deny that they are exact copies of each other, which is the definition of a clone.

If they weren't, they wouldn't be identical, plus it's a scientific fact that they would have the same DNA because they come from a single fertilized egg.
-
Wrong. What do you think identical twins are?

Rogue Leader's Hardware Guide - February 20, 2004

do they really need to? -
Knowing Sonic's taste in games, I'd lean towards Max Payne.

Ummm... KotOR wasn't that good. I actually much prefer XvT to it, and don't understand why Lucasarts hasn't continued it, except for possibly the fact that they targeted Alliance to too young an audience.
-
It has to do with the fact that EA has the liscence to the official movie games, so they get to use it however tehy feel will get them money best.

Happy Christmas Everyone!

it's the holidays, everyone "disapears" for a bit.....

I'm pretty sure the machines could've tried that with the oracle, in fact I'm sure she'd have tried. if she thought it would've worked. but we're really talking about the metaphors presented by the film.
-
It's not deep, it's just understanding the philosophy behind it all.

My Response: You mis-interpret. Smith and Neo are the one, it's not just Neo(has a little to do with what Neo did when he attempted to destroy smith at the end of the first movie). They're Ying and Yang. Apart they are not whole, but they cannot exist as one yet they are not in balance apart. This is another part of eastern philosophy. So when they join, they restore balance to the Matrix. It wasn't being re-written, it was being repaired, returned to a level at which it could function again. What was shown was esentially a re-boot of the matrix after a massive (what shall we call it?) de-frag. Basically repairing the dammage Smith did in Neo's absence in one fel swoop. But yes, there is a little something to your thought that Neo was ending his existence to bring life, this is the notion of the ultimate sacrifice, taking your own life to save billions, on both sides of a war that could destroy the universe as it is known, kinda like at the end of Buffy The Vampire slayer's 5th season. That's just one of the biggest problems in the Matrix, it jumps around in its philosophies way too much. It just mixed things up way too much. We see a lot Taoism, Budhism, Shintoism and a little bit of modern western philiosophy thrown in here and there. It just annoying that they didn't stick to a single core philosophy.

Outwar is no good for anyone and we don't support it.

lol, That ending made perfect sense and fit in with the movies. *spoiler warning*(text in black, highlight if you want to read it) You see, you missed the entire theme of the trilogy, which is existence itself, mostly from a Zen buddhist oreintation (it's also kinda shinto), each film focusing on a diffrent part of the cycle of life, The Matrix being about birth, Reloaded about life, Revolutions about death. Now you have to understand that there are serious examples of metaphors within the movie, specifically Neo's true birth, where he wakes up in pink amneotic like fluid with an umbilical cord feeding him. and one big thing to understand is that in that moment he was re-incarnated, no longer Thomas Anderson. Now re-incarnation figures into the philosophies of both the Shinto and Buddhists. So that being esatblished, the end makes prefect sense. Neo's death is the ultimate saccrifice, allowing his life to end so that everyone else may live as they choose to, not as they are forced to, as it should be. That is another part of what has come to be modern human philosophy, which most likely began with Voltaire's "Droits de L'Homme" (might have been earlier than that). After that its made clear that the Oracle and the Architect are discussing what will now happen, they reveal that those living in the Matrix will be given the choice to leave, and join Zion, or to stay and be there. The Architect was quite upset because he lost all control. Now to what the Oracle and the child program spoke of, wether they'd see Neo again, that brings us back to re-incarnation, the machines never said anything about no longer growing humans for energy, so eventually, due to the oracles meddling they will eventually re-clone Neo and he will be re-born. Yes, it's weak and very annoying, but in no way was this anywhere near as amazing or revolutionary as the first movie, it doesn't even come close. Drop out all the action, replace it with a dialogue describing the action (yes the action was somewhat fun and exciting, but knowing what really went into it, it was somewhat pitiful) and this move drops from its miniscule 2h to no more than 1h (possibly less), horridly short for any movie with a 100 million dollar budget spent mostly on making one of the ugliest CG shots I've ever seen. honestly, The movie had little to no story, and was nothing but end to end action, with only minor revelations towards the philosophy. But it did what it promised, It really didn't need to do more, and it didn't need to do less. It functions as an end, it didn't need to be more. The end also makes something else quite clear: once the on-line game goes live, there will be no more movies, no more games and no more story, other than what goes into the mmo. The universe of The Matrix fully balanced, no one is opressed after the events in revolutions, everyone has their own choice, and can live freely, which was Neo's goal. to be prefectly honest, the movie was mediocre at most. it was not "awesome" as some people have suggested it could be. That's a lot of things covered but it isn't everything. I hope you do have a little bit better understanding of the end of what went on, if you really want clarification ask more specific questions, It'll help me clear things up for you even more.

Earth and Beyond Max Payne 2, and Zero Hour

It wasn't that great. but it did do what it was supposed to, which I guess was okay.
