Well, I finally figured it out, so you can close this if you want. Or if ya want, I'll come back and fill this in on how to beat it. Hint: You're gonna have to let the commando go.

Hey, I am having some trouble beating the one mission with NOD in Tiberian Dawn. It takes place in Egypt and you start with a commando, and later get 4 rocket soldiers and 2 engineers. First of all, the commando seems to die just as soon as I capture the base. Secondly, I can not get it built up fast enough to ward off the first attack. Can anybody help me here?

I had this problem before. First of all, try getting offline and then disable any antivirus software you have running. I say to get offline so you don't have the danger of getting a virus or something. Also try creating a new account on your computer and then reinstalling under that account. See if either of those two fixes the problem. And try running the game without having your antivirus software running.

it could have been real. I mean if it never left the planning stages, it seems that they thought about the idea, then decided later on that it probably wouldn't go over with the fans. I mean they released Renegade, which is not the RTS type game, but they dabbled with a new type game. They could have thought about doing it, but later decided no.

Hey, I posted a few times here but haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Iceman. Yeah. Uh, favorite C&C game is Yuri's Revenge.

Disconnect from the net and turn off anti virus. See if that helps. If not, then try creating a new account on your computer and play from that. See what happens. I had a similar virus and that fixed it.

Well, Kane definately has style as a villain, but Yuri just has that something about him that makes you wanna crush him. My vote goes to Yuri.

Yeah, if you use Yuri Prime the right way, then there is no way for them to stop you from capturing and selling the entire base. Especially if you have gatling tanks or a floating disc or something to distract the player from your real intentions.

Yeah, it's in there. Though it's not as noticible as in the first Hell March.

Just a question... and I didn't see a thread for it anywhere, and if there is, I apologize and please direct me to it. Anyways, I'm just wondering, what is that guy saying on the hell march song? And if it's in another language, how bout a translation. Just wondering. THX

UPDATE!! Appearantly it wasn't that I created a new account. It was that I didn't use antivirus on the second account. Therefore, it was probably that antivirus was conflicting with the game. Try that as well. Either one may fix the problem.
