"Serious Error" in Zero Hour (but not in Generals)
Doc Strategy replied to a topic in Generals / Zero Hour
In my experience (I upgraded computers and Ram from initial play of ZH to now) crashes occur with large maps + many players + many units needing micromgmt. In short, the more activity you stress your particular game with, the more likely you'll run into the serious errors. I suspect those who complain the most have a) older comp/less Ram and/or really like to micromg against a lot of players. I still get serious errors now and then, but it's pretty rare. I am focusing on games of 1 (me) vs 3-4 (allied AI players.) DocStrategy -
Well, I haven't been much of a storyline follower. But, I have to say I've had a lot of fun with Generals and ZH ... skirmishes and the Gen Challenge have given hours of better play than skirmishes on either Tiberian or RA2. Don't get me wrong--I've liked ALL the C&C and hope for more like you guys. But had to respond to the dissing of Generals; I think it is still quality stuff even if it is a totally different line. I'm with you, bring on TT!

I'm still running ZH on a Dell 400 MHZ, 512 MG RAM system w/64Mg Geforce. But I'm pretty sure the _next_ C&C will force me to my next computer BTW, ZH runs fine. I've only had serious error stops when I let a map get really really crowded. And I can't watch the movie clips, but that isn't the gameplay anyway.
