Uhm... ok! Then whatever! They can count whatever they want... even the remaining days of the Bush administration... Eh eh! Anyway, they seems to be more precise than EA, afterall

C&C 3 Designer Diary #5 - Introducing the Scrin
Adeavernus replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Wow... it's seems that the mothership is smaller than I thought! Mhmm... that makes me think that the adjective "Mother" in the name doesn't fit at all... I listened to many theories, but I suppose that the Scrin will base their attack plan depending on the faction the player will choose. If we play as the GDI, they will attack first Nod, to maintain a certain suspance element in the plot, and viceversa. In any case, and that's for sure, we'll face them in both factions missions near the end. Do you remember Dune 2 or Dune 2000? It's gonna like the finals in both that games... depending on the side you choosed you had to fight with the house that was threating your family house... and in the end, with that hous plus the emperor faction. I suppose it will be the same here... but with a predominance of the alien factor in the end. The videos are very good... the mammoth still rocks, even surrounded by alien and Nod tech! The Tripod seems very powerful... of course, is a demo: I suppose that we wouldn't be able to build so many of them... 'cause lack of funds! Eh eh! -
Eh eh, even this may be an explanation! Maybe he sleeps in a fridge, or formats himself whenever he needs... like my system, when my pc became too slow... XD

RA 2 was too slow for me - consider that I played RA 1 for so long... you know, only in the end, because of the great number of units, RA 1 does slow down... In RA 2 you don't have the choice of the speed settings, you know, and you're alwasy interrupted by little video messages, or something else. RA 1 is more direct and fast, expecially due to the light hardware requests, always in my opinion, of course. For the challenge... I accept it, but you have to wait, because I'm studying hard in this period for the degree (sigh =_=), and - as I said in another topic - I have to reinstall RA 1 from scratch, in this computer that I use for the web! But don't worry... I'm a little rusty but, at least, I know how to make a good tank rush, like the old times, eh eh! Mhmm... what's the time you usually play, during the day? -

I'm going to go insane on RA the final allied mission
Adeavernus replied to SSTG's topic in Red Alert / Counterstrike / Aftermath
Mmh... I finished it a loooong time ago... but I don't remeber almost anything about that! I didn't have much difficult on this... like all of the final missions in C&C you suppose to create a good defense, first, and then take out one of the bases that the enemy got. After that they will immediately slow down with the attacks. As you said, the Allies lacks in defense, so you have to buid a base isolated, with only two or three sides uncovered. Then put a looooot of medium tanks in the main direction the attacks come, and, back them, put a lot of artillery. It alwas worked well. When you secured your base, try to rise a few medium tank, to provoke the opponent forces by attacking their harvesters. They will come and you will destroy them, one by one, 'till they will be out of money (did I say that you, in the mean time, have to destroy their harvesters?). This is a good general strategy for the last missions, but, I admit that it's not a complete one. I have to re-install Red Alert and play the final mission of the Allies side. Only after finishing it again I will give you a more precise advice. Good luck until then (this in the case you haven't finished it yet, of course!!!) -

this would probably be a bad time to point out that tecnically i'm neutral in this conflict #3. welcome #4. did I welome you? Thank you, and yes, you already did... a thousand time, though, eh eh! To SovietBlackOut: I'm a very BIG BIG fan of the whole series, except generals, as you said. I'm crazy about Red Alert... I played it online and in single player mode (or skirmish) hundred times... The plot is great - I like a lot the intro sequence, with the Einstein-Hitler sequence, the big letters sliding on the screen, and the Soviets marching on in the Klepacki's fantastic "Hell March" (the first version, of course!)! That's what I call a "masterpiece", which will never appear again in the global videogame scene! C&C : Tiberian Dawn, was the first RTS I played: that GDI-NOD plot was great, with a charismatic opponent like Kane... and the astounding music of Klepacki! What a shock for me, to see that things on the little screen of my pc!!! Since that I played all the game of C&C series, even in their PSX version - with the Save option disabled... what a nightmare to complete missions like "Fresh Tracks" without it... @__@ (there's no need to say that I'll never do it again XD). I liked much even Tiberian Sun... that was full of strange technology and all the weirdest and powerful weapons you can desire on a futuristic RTS. I was disappointed when I found that in C&C III most of these great technology just disappeared... but, in the end, I did accept the explaination of the creators of the game and their choices. Only Red Alert II have disappointed me, a little bit, if you let me say it. I suppose that this game was the beginning of the fall of the glorius Westwood Studios: the story was pathetic, the units were absurd (more than usual... do you remember the calamary?), and the gameplay was VEEEEERY slow. And don't forget that they break the continuum line of the original saga with that sort of parallel-world story, that doesn't fit with the future of Tiberian Sun. But I'll surprise you saying this... that it was a good game, a very funny one like the others, even with those gaps. I loved it, because it was a C&C, afterall!! Every moment with the C&C saga was great and unforgetable. I know that this isn't the right age for C&C (it's a product of the 90's, there's nothing to do about that), but I'm sure that C&C III will be a glorius one, something that the newbies of these times doesn't know. I want, once again and for the last time (probably), to be on the head of the armies of Nod, or at the side of GDI troops, to make the difference once again (like someone said, long time ago). I think that this is the dream of everyone here, and I know that this long period of peace is near to the end... eh eh! PS - Sorry for the papyrus I wrote above... but when I talk about C&C its always like that!!! ^^" -
Mhmm... as I said I'm sorry if I sound redundant in my discussion, because I haven't got the time to read all the threads! You got a point... Kane probably have a plan about the coming of the Scrin... but I consider that my theory can answer even this point. Probably Kane wants to rejoin with his people... yes, but only to re-take their technology. With the Scrin's weapons he can strike a final blow to the GDI, beating it once and for all. And, most important, he can acquire the interstellar ship technology, to obtain the control of something he believe was lost forever... the Scrin Empire! I'm not feeling so strange saying that his megalomaniac way of think have reached this possibility of expansion... Nothing seems too much far to Kane to take out!!!

Argh! I will not mess with the Brotherhood, even if it would be the last thing I should do to survive! Anyway, I've already posted something around, like my own, bizzarre, "Kane theory", in the "Kane doesn't age" thread of C&C3... I'm waiting for a response, eh eh! Pleaaaaaaaaaase, answer meeeeeeeee!!! -

Yes: probably someone said it before, because I'm new around here, and I never had the time to read those tons of topics, eh eh! But its easy to guess that Tiberium - with the "new" information EA gave to us - was used with the purpose to transform entire planets in open mines. Is cheapy and self-regulated, but it needs long time... this if we still think about time in human terms. In the Scrin life time could be a bit different...
