oh yeah... Stealthed Flame tanks... Before in 1.04, yeah... they were ok, often i'd be able to run in 4-5 of them, and manage to burn down their MCV and maybe a building or 2 1.05, it costs a lot more to do it, tanks cost 1.2k, stealth costs 3k, but wow, just wow. I just leveled an entire base so fast, my opponent's head must of spun, 4 tanks, 1 on the mvc, 1 on his portals, 1 on his tech tree, the other on his refinery Now if only the blackhand was as powerful...

Well, 1.05 is awesome, it really really is. i've had about 4-5 games now, the highlights are New Maps: Wow, you'll just feel blown away by it, after having played TA over and over and over and over... they jsut look fantastic, and new tatics need to be developed. Rocket Men. God yes. I can't believe how many clusters of Assault carriers ive downed with them They just don't die, ever! Walkers, carriers, avatars, they all cower to a T-Enhanced rocket men formation. I've built more in 1 match against scrin, then i have in all my (80-ish) online games combined. Flame tanks... They are still weak as, but watching 3 ZT descend next to 4 flame tanks, i was left laughing, they will burn any inf to a crisp in under a second, buildings are just as fragile. Black Hand still kinda sucks however, $900 credits for troopers that aren't overly destructive... :/ Oh, and spidering is DEAD, its fantastic. Even expanding to that t-patch you spawn next to, is a small mission in itself. I'm honestly becoming inclined to spend $1k and use MCV's endgame, just to make sure it gets there and deploys intact. Oh yeah, also just got ST rushed... surprisngly, when they blew up my PP, some of them died, like they unstealthed for a second allowing my shreader thing to kill a few... Anyway, every build tatic i had learnt in 1.04 has pretty much worthless now, as it now plays out as the trash that it was. Oh, and i shot down venoms with rocketmen!!! their new range is fantastic, instead of running into the venoms and getting killed, they fire miles away, and the venoms have to come to them ! rah, enough ranting, time for death note 34, then some more cnc

*shrugs* Perhaps, but i strongly believe games would be a lot more interesting, if people didn't turtle behind turrets so much. Its incredibly frustrating when i have the superior firepower advantage, but i'm unable to level a base for fear of my army being eliminated by 2 surprise turrets. *shrugs*, i just know the game would be so much more fun when actually leveling a base that's end-tech with troopers wasn't so risky. At least spidering will have died out, which should make turrets so much harder to place now... anyway... the patch is now 98% compleate.... time to test out the changes... running around with zone troopers and espically those black hands should be fun....

Still trying to download it Unsurprisingly ea's servers arn't coping, so i'm only getting 6Kb/s from their 110MB file. Hopefully fileplanet will save me.. once i've finished with their queue in 5 minutes time... still, i'm looking forward to seeing black hand troopers marching around in the battlefield, and picking them off with my snipers I love snipers... although i never really got to use them enough in 1.04.... oh yeah.. no more spidering!!!! YES! Now if they only remove insta-deploy defenses, i'd be happy. (mastermind happyness excluded)

Yeah, its not often you get to see that tripods emp attack, but when it does, its fantastic I love setting tripods to fully aggressive, and then running them into a base, doing so makes them fire from all 3 pods, instead of 2, and by running in, they squish inf and small tanks, and emp attack mammies. Just fantastic. As for my favorite unit From a technical point of view, the stealth tank. (Hit and run, its just fun) From a reality point of view, Scorp Tanks. (Fast, mobile, cheap) From a lore point of view, easily the black hand troopers. Hell, it takes balls to wear a cloak when your primary weapon is a flame thrower.. and they have plenty of it Hopefully 1.05 will make them more viable
