I thought that revolves around a point value in their ini slot, not their financial value? So Surely you could just make the unit's value less. So killing a conscipt would be killing at least 3 times his point value? If he's worth less points, he has to score less points to be promoted.

I have just managed to get RA2 off a friend and spent so long trying to get on the internet on it and just today found some shared internet components for it. So i started it up and clicked internet and it told me that it needed to upgrade the game to play online so i downloaded the upgrade and it told me it would restart to put the upgrade into effect. I have tried it a few times but it doesn't restart itself at all and after a while, i restart it and i have to do the same thing over again to no avail. Anybody know why? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does anybody know how to let him kill buildings? should be simple, but i get an arror if i can ever make him attack them

Ok, i am making a new campaign mission with a friend (better than me ) for the soviets and it's one of these final missions in which you acheive world domination some way or another and in this particular one, after beating many of the allied forces, your v3(nuke launcher) becomes available. So, it fires nukes, the first thing that any noob makes them do, but...is there anyway that everything that is affected by the blast joins your team, just like when Yuri controls people? I can't find a code and my friend doesn't have a clue, but then it is a pretty complex weapon, me thinks. The only thing i could think of is taking the nuke weapon damage down to 0 or something to the same effect and then adding the warhead as Mindcontrol on the weapon but that completely screws it up. Any ideas anyone?

I guess a slightly clumsy way to solve that would just be to hit 's' on the keyboard once fired but surely there must be something that tells a IVF when something is fully healed, so it stops healing it, have a search round in the files for that?!

I dunno whether you ever actually found this mod but if you didn't, it's fairly easy (but rather lengthy) to do it yourself. Such as the desolator can only be built by Iran or someone but there are 2 codes: Owner=Russians,Confederation,Africans,Arabs RequiredHouses=Arabs So just delete required house and change the first to: owner=British,French,Germans,Americans,Alliance,Russians,Confederation,Africans, Arabs That means that everybody will be alble to build it. Something else quite useful (maybe why you got the error but i'm not quite sure) is because you need the soviet barracks to build the desolator but obviously the allies can't build it, so completely delete: Prerequisite=NAHAND,RADAR so you don't need any buildings to build the desolator and set 'tech level=2'. That means you can build a desolator as soon as the game begins; well as soon as you have barracks. Hope that was helpful, if you were still wondering, i imagine i am wasting my time because you found a mod for it but no harm in trying eh?

I have just downloaded Ra2 StrEdit and i have made a new csf file and put it into my game but when the game loads, every single bit of writing in the main screen has 'missing GUI' in front of it and crashes when i start a new game. Maybe a made the file wrong? Thanks in advance

I just downloaded this an i know you guys posted this ages ago but anyway; i downloaded the string editor and it told me that it did not know what file had created it when i tried to open it. Any ideas even though you haven;t posted for 2 years or summink? Cheers

Hey guys, it's my first time on these forums and i have run into a rather large problem and would be nice if some great person could help me out. At the moment i am trying to re-install Red alert 2 and it half installs and then tells me that it could nit read 'languages.mix.' I think this means that the file is corrupted or something because i tried the same on a friend's computer and it repeated the proccess so ...?
