  1. Hi, I'm new. I discovered C&C Generals recently, I got it for $4 in a thrift store. I found a map I liked, and downloaded, the Iraq.map, the one with Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Baghdad and Iran. I have played a few games of Age of Empires before so the learning curve was not so bad, but I did lose my first skirmish. Then I got to thinking about my middle east map idea. Set in the not so distant future, the radical Muslims are threatening the world order. Afghanistan and Pakistan are basically one nation, as are Iran and Iraq. The Saudis and Egyptians are radicalized and united. And even the Muslims of the former Soviet Union are united and Rad. Standing in their way are the commies and the coalition aided by India. As far as the map it should be as large as possible with a few mountain ranges. Israel and India have Europe and America backing them with money and arms and most everyone else on the map is awash in oil money. The most challenging player would be Afghanistan-Pakistan. I also like unique battle engines in turn based games. The board game shogun had a killer battle system but the computer version was uninspired. Axis and allies, Conquest of the new world deluxe and shining force are also favorites of mine, and the Panzer general series. Wouldn't it be great to have the map from Israel to China with the battle systems from one of these games? The operational art of war comes close! Anyhow I am not so good at making games and maps. I have made a couple, in Age of Rifles. So hopefully someone good at it will like this idea and make the map. I have tried already to contact the person who made the Iraq map, (which is all I play, I don't really like the traditional 4 corners could be anywhere type of maps, I want the drama of great nations falling!) no reply yet. Anyhow thanks for listening. I usually don't do much in forums and I have not chatted for years. I do have a myspace, www.myspace.com/tedrockin
