Unfortunately ARGO could care less about the fate of our planet. The machine, Atlantis, we have come to call the Omega Device, we're not entirely sure what it does, but it is almost complete it's charge cycle that has thought to have taken 3 billion years. It was created on our planet even before the previous cycle of evolution. The ones we believe to have built it seemed to have a complete understanding of the universe, a race we call Prometheian. For a race that was here at least 3 billion years ago, now is either extinct, or has left to another galaxy. The previous dominant species of our planet developed similar to us, because they evolved under the same conditions to us. So understanding their thought process isn't all that difficult, but understanding Prometheian is another story. The UFGD isn't willing to recruit anyone, the watch over all and pick out the ones with potential in at least one useful area, mine being combat strategy, pistol accuracy, staying alive, and small craft piloting. I wish I didn't, I am sick of that slow paced, only half true crap. ex. A school text-book said that the LHC (or it's relatives) was for simulating the 'big bang' (which has already been disproved within the Union).
