Here's some tips and questions to ask yourself whether it is worth it for you (and friends probably) to spend some money catching this film. 1) Are you expecting this movie to be a simple, action, and/or comedy film? 2) Do you have background knowledge of the film? 3) Have you read the original Alan Moore's comic book? 1. If you are expecting 1), chances are, you will be hating this film and probably demanding your money back. The plot is dark, serious and requires intellect. If you enjoy the film, after watching it you'll have a lot of philosophical stuff to think about. 2. It's a bonus if you have some knowledge of the film. If you do not have any knowledge it, its still okay, but there will be probably 1% of the film you'll probably be scratching your head and wonder why how what happen. For example, why and how does Rorschach have his animated mask. 3. Its a big bonus. It's ok if you have not read the novel. If you read the novel and enjoyed it, chances are you'll love the film even more and appreciate every single detail of the film. If you read the novel and hate it a lot, I suggest please save your money on something else. Here's my two cents.
