I'm also wondering will there be cooldown between the switch of abilities? -
February Battlecast Primetime Online Now

Same here. Not much of a difference in the 5. The new FK track sounds great. I just want more! -
What choice do I have? Seriously? EA made it clear to make Uprising as their Digital Download exclusive. I am seriously wondering why EA keeps on living its motto by challenging everything. Is it just me, or do the other gamers also find out that EA is somehow challenging customers one way or another. From a one faction campaign Kane's Wrath to a DRM issue in Red Alert 3 and the bicthing of breaking expansion sets to the current "booster packs" and now limiting customers by limiting the distribution through their Digital Download? It's really depressing to see loyal C&C fans losing interest or simply biting the bullet. As much as I like C&C franchise, my take for this is that I can choose to turn to other alternatives as a response to EA's challenge. Well that's my honest view. If you think its too harsh to see or for anyone to see by all means delete everything off.

CNCNZ.com Roundtable #17 - February 2009

In regards to RA3U, I feel sad for fans (such as banshee) who have weaker internet speed, as what Assassin and Blbpaws said, I wish for a retail box too. As for Generals topic, like what some folks mentioned, this universe of C&C has brought a lot of emotions and commotions in the community. We see fans who are angry, we see fans who disregard Generals as a C&C game and so on. Well personally, as much as I hate Generals at one point of time, ZH redeemed itself with many interesting features such as Generals Challenge and specialized sub factions. This universe has been doing great in MP, but the SP just couldn't do well. I'm giving high hopes for a potential sequel, or possibly remake or reimagined version. I'm looking forward to a sidebar though, and a good SP with good FMVs as well as improving the MP experience. -
Second that.

Not that small, Sonic. Uprising is almost similar to RA3, the three campaigns may be smaller, but the addition of Yuriko campaign and the Commanders challenge will not decrease the file size.

Another of my favorite unit, Future Tank X-1! I fell in love with this futuristic mechanical tank when I saw the magazine a while back. Interesting episode. though I find the mailbag section was kinda biased, they only posted the good stuff, they refuse to post the bad stuff, and improve from the bad criticisms. -
RA3 Uprising Unit Profile - Allies Harbinger

My favorite ship. Interestingly enough, I love how the writer explained the turbojets are powered by the Collider fuel cell, and further explain that this will allow it to be on air for that long. Somehow, I'm still wondering about the two abilities. If its collider 120mm cannon is powerful, it should pwn infantry quite easily, so whats the use of that machine gun ability? -
RA3 Uprising Unit Profile - Empire of the Rising Sun Tsunami Tank
Malevolence replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
I love this red variant of the tsunami tank concept. The skin reminds me of the Red Emperor Oni. Interesting read on the article, love how the writer explaining the extensive use of the 2nd ability in battles. -
Sorry mate. Was trying to convey my honest opinion but yet trying not to mention piracy too obvious, but still you got me. All I was trying to convey is I'll totally against Uprising as a digital exclusive only. Actually the two threads are one and the same, maybe you should merge these two threads. Maybe that was why I copy and paste the same thing in two threads to share my honest opinion. Once again I apologize if I really cause you too much inconvenience, Sonic.

I still don't get it why bother begging for a warranty to download again in 5 years period rather than owning a disc copy where you can install uninstall over again until DVD drives become obsolete?

Looking good! Whats the argument of FPS mode or TPS mode?

APOC Comments on RA3 Uprising Being Digital Only
Malevolence replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
I posted this here. http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?s=&s...st&p=157893. I was flabbergasted when APOC mentioned about letting the download going "overnight or during the day while you are at work or school or wherever you are" for the slow internet connection. Obviously he wasn't aware that such sites may just disconnect or time out or something. Anyways... Here's my take on this issue. 1) I rather pay more for a physical retail box than a cheaper online download. 2) If I have to download, I rather download a free version than a version which requires my credit card. 3) Besides, the paid version will not make a difference with a free version, as it is simply a single player game. P.S. EA loses another customer until a retail version is out. -

Sonic, I can't play games now as I had uninstall C&C3, KW and RA3 a month ago due to the instability of my systems. I intended to reformat it but couldn't do so as I am waiting patiently for my private slow downloads (low seeders and high leechers) to finish... which will probably drag to the end of next month. But rest assure, once I've reformatted my systems I'll try out this awesome mod. This mod should probably inspire the dev team to make Generals 2, I hope.

TBH actually I ain't paying online... I'll definitely pay if its a physical disc retail. No worries if I'll lose out in terms of the content of the expansion, there's always a way...
