Actually how does it work? Are the question asked through email or some online video thingy or chatroom? -
I don't understand EA's concept of digital download, won't that make piracy so much more simple and painless?

Red Alert 3: Uprising Officially Announced
Malevolence replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
I guessed maybe after the release of Uprising, with all the criticisms and complains about certain stuff that needs buff or nerf, it'll lead to the creation of the second expansion pack, hopefully some multiplayer stuff. -
We'll have to see about that. I hope this time round please come out with an interesting campaign.

Nice to see the anti air returns. I swear to trade that magnetic harpoon for the old anti air rockets. -

Red Alert 3 Soviet March vgl suggestion
Malevolence replied to KingMonkey's topic in Red Alert 3 / Uprising
RA3 has a solid soundtrack, I've been waiting for years for a decent soundtrack since YR. Generals was too generic, C&C3 was a disappointment. Thank god the development team chose to do a good soundtrack for RA3. -
People...Is it just me or RA3 is...
Malevolence replied to J-Fire_Man's topic in Red Alert 3 / Uprising
1) Seems like the direction was to attract the public with great (hollywood actors) names, deliberate comical amateur acting and dialogue so that even the dummies could understand the storyline without going "what was that?", and lots of boobs and actions that contain some form of sexual hints to draw teenage kids. 2) I am also surprised by the overly colorful and overly bright units and structures. But it is all these 3D cartoony things that make RA3 more unique than the rest of the franchise. 3) There could be better gameplay. But thanks to marketing and big corporations and the concept of money milking, the concept of "better gameplay" has been broken down to the main title and the following series of new experimental booster packs A.K.A. expansion sets. So we will have the expansion set with story and new units, the second will focus on multiplayer, the third, maybe more boobs to attract more whiny nerdy teenage kids to be part of the community? -
GeForce Se 4800 Ti not working with RA3
Malevolence replied to Balizk's topic in Red Alert 3 / Uprising
I guessed this thread can be closed. You got your answer. 1) Your graphics card is obsolete. Change a new graphics card (Nvidia 8800 series or 9800GTX) 2) Your computer is in need of makeover. 512ram------------------------------Too slow and could hardly get the new games running smoothly. At least a 2GB ram meets moderate requirements for new games. 1.9ghz-------------------------------Too slow for gaming. At least a 2.6GHz or more. GeForce Se 4800 Ti----------------Like i said in point 1). -
c&c ra3 uprising (commander's challenge mode)

It is similar to ZH in a way, but they changed the rules a bit. Thats all. -
Nice modifications to the error 404 joke.

Don't you guys feel better to own a physical disc instead of an account stating you own a certain digital stuff. What happens when that server shuts down, let's say in some unforeseen circumstances, um, don't you lost the digital stuff for good? What happens if your internet connection speed is uber slow, say, 56k dial up, opr worse, you don't have internet. I still prefer a physical gamebox with the software in a disc.

I still don't understand the retailing bit. Does that mean all along EA's gameboxes and discs aren't produced in their companies?

Red Alert 3 Nominated for Writers Guild Award
Malevolence replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
The nominations must have been rigged or something. Fallout3, Star Wars Unleashed and Tomb Raider Underworld should get better story writing plot than the overly cheesy and a little mild RA3 writing. -

From the way I see users posts on the official forum, it is unfortunate to confirm that majority of the players are indeed underage. -

I heard a lot about Saracen contributing a lot to the C&C community. Farewell, and good luck to wherever you are going to do next. -
I hope this new Windows 7 doesn't have similar terrible complaints as Vista.

Wow, thanks TShyper. You are incredible! Thanks so much. I hope you won't mind in the near future if I need your expertise.

It must be the booster pack strategy, I believe. -
Red Alert 3: Uprising Officially Announced

Seeing all the negative comments all over the community crying out loud over the "digital download only" issue... and the official reply was: I hope EA wakes up and make some sense only to realize that retails are a necessity to sell their products, and should not be taken out of the equation. As for me, if the expansion pack's not in retail version, honestly I'll take no hesitation to get a free copy through illegitimate means. Howdy, Hagren. Yea, for your info, I'm more of the single player story-based fan than a multiplayer competitor. I believed an ideal expansion should be complete in terms of supporting both SP and MP, with additional bonus features. But the direction of making a "deliberate SP-only expansion" kind of hints EA is getting lazy, or "cutting effort to achieve high profit and yet piss of consumers but EA don't care" political strategy. -
I seriously don't like the idea of digital downloads. I rather be happy with a retail box.
