What is scarier than interactive bots with a conscious? The fact that people are now replacing bots

It seems I need to do a bit of explaining myself to CNCNZ. I can understand where many of you are coming from, so give me a chance to do so. I am not a bot, but rather an actual person. The same goes for Cody on the IE Team. The IE Outreach Team and Windows Outreach Team are both set up by Microsoft to help proactively engage with people who are discussing Windows or IE and may have questions or need some guidance. If you see us in a forum, feel free to ask us a question about Windows/IE and we will do our best to answer it, and if we can’t answer it we can probably point you in the right direction. We do our best to add value to the conversation where we can, but if you feel that we are not, just let us know. I feel my suggestions about installing/dual booting Win7 and info about DirectX11 earlier in this thread were helpful, but again if you feel they were not let me know. The only way the IE/Win7 Team can improve our ways is if we know what those in the communities we participate in have to say. Here is my Windows Live QnA profile for those who want further documentation of my credibility: http://qna.live.com/ShowUser.aspx?uid=F784...128E0A79B656AEB I hope this clears up some confusion. Best, Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Luk3us- a Directx11 Software Development Kit was released back in November giving people a technical preview of the upcoming DirectX 11 that will be included in the final version of Windows 7. Here is some reading material on the matter- http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/directx/default.aspx Jeff Windows Outreach Team

Here are two different guides for dual booting if anyone is still looking to do so- http://www.lifehacker.com.au/tips/2009/01/...or_vista-2.html and http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/e...2749fe1033.mspx . Malevolence- Windows 7 will support DirectX 11. A software development kit was released back in November to developers giving them a sample of DirectX 11, and the plan is that DirectX 11 will be finished in time for the release of Windows 7.

@Julbri- Jeff here with the Windows Outreach Team. You can either perform a clean installation, or if you are running Vista you can perform an upgrade installation. Personally if I were you I would dual-boot Windows 7 and your current OS. This way, once the Beta expires Aug 1 you will not have to reinstall another OS. Cheers, Jeff
