I don't think that this is a firefox2 problem... though you never know with these things. Can anyone try with Explorer or Opera? -
Annoying Login Problem...FF2?
Nachmore replied to F15pilotX's topic in Site / Forum News & Discussion
that's weird - the buttons should "turn on" as soon as you start typing in the domain. It works for me now without the exception though. A sample .htaccess file that should work is something like: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^forums.cncnz.com RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://forums.cncnz.com/ [R=301,L] This is actually quite a lame rewrite (it rewrites any and every url that posts to http://www.cncnz.com/forums/*anything* to http://forums.cncnz.com. You can do some fancy things like following the *anything* through, though it gets a little annoying. If that is needed (I guessed that it wasn't) I can post code for that too... -
I remember finding this site (then tsnnz) after looking for imformation about tiberium sun (from the ending sequence of tiberium dawn)... This was around the time that RA was being talked about...

does the server support .htaccess files? if it does, I can send you a sample htaccess that makes sure that the client is in the right directory... -

I've had the same problems. Some of the problems went away when I cleared the cookies - the others are to do with how you access the forums. If you go to forums.cncnz.com all the time then you will be fine - try to avoid going to http://www.cncnz.com/forums. This fixed everything for me... -
Happy Birthday!

Firefox 2.0 Released (For Real This Time!)
Nachmore replied to F15pilotX's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
the log in issues for me happened when the new layout came in... though I may have it fixed by clearing all of my old cncnz and forums.cncnz cookies. The new icons are crap - the original ones were nicer, somewhat smoother... -
Firefox 2.0 Released (For Real This Time!)
Nachmore replied to F15pilotX's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
weird... what type of "so many problems"? Did you make sure that you are running the latest version and not one of the earlier release candidates? Go to http://bugzilla.mozilla.org and submit a bug report if you are - then your issues could be fixed in the next patch... -
New Look for CNCNZ.com - Is Here Now!
Nachmore replied to Sonic's topic in Site / Forum News & Discussion
I like the new colour scheme - it's actually a somewhat return to the TSNNZ colour scheme (or at least close). Sonic - do you have screenshots of the site and all of it's iterations? I reckon it would be cool to have a then and now page, showing screenshots of the site and the layouts it has gone through since the beggining. Btw, has anyone else encountered the fact that clicking "View posts since last visit" always returns nothing (even though there have been new posts), ever since the new layout? -
talking about unconventional, these two were my cars up till a couple of months ago: Humvees rule! This was a customised Jeep - called "Storm", it had pure raw 4x4 manual strength to make it amazingly fun to drive... *sigh* I miss them :/

I agree totally with Sonic. 9.11 is something that we will never forget - every person who was around that day will remember exactly what he was doing when he first heard about the attack. The initial disbelief, the rumors and then the shock when reality hits. To this day I still find it hard to believe what man is capable of doing to innocent others just for the writing in a book or the words of a crazy man. This is truly a world wide tragedy that should and will not ever be forgotten. On the political side of things: I don't think that we should hate Muslims, Islam or even target a group like - Arabs. The problem most of the time is not with the little person on the street who just wants to get on with his life it is with the radicals. The radicals and fanatics exist in every culture and religion, unfortunately the ones in the Mulsim culture and religion are currently dominating and the ones that are causing all of the problems. The people targeted should be those fanatics, not the religion and especially not the innocent bystanders. I understand that one can not weed them out as easily as I weed my garden and there will be mistakes along the way, but innocent casualties will be much less than a general targeting of a general populace.

correct me if I'm wrong - but the two right pictures are of the same orca, just different angles and sketch technique... The left one seems overengineered - huge supporting body (engines etc.) and tiny fighter capability area. Especially the top left - that one looks like they have taken a small ship and added a big frame to it. I agree that the right one looks more like a fighter plan than anything else. What ever happened to the rotating hover blades of the orca? These seem to "plane" like...

naaah not anymore, they all used to be Versign, but it's all open nowadays. .gov is reserved for the US government. A country (say Australia) that wan'ts it's own governemtn sites will use gov.au - i.e. it's own "TLD" - Top Level domain. See the following links: Registrars (the people who register the domains): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registrar wiki TLD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top-level_domain Domain names: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_name

It's a sad way to go - freakish too because stingray attacks are so uncommon. What probably killed him wasn't the barb itself but it's poison. It was injected so close to the heart that it was only a matter of seconds, amazing that he managed to pull the barb out. The authorities are going to / have released the parts of the tape up to where he pulls it out of himself. It is supposed to be on the news tonight... Personally, I'd rather not see it -> bad taste imo.

where does your info come from? Wikipedia is not banned in Germany... the German section is actually quite thriving! http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hauptseite

nice photo - you've got to be pretty exact for that one

hmm... sounds like someone got mixed up. Not even tiberium could survive our koalas!

true that there wasn't anything ground breaking - but it shows things in movement instead of still shots. There seems to have been an effore put into this - I hope it only gets better. Now, random rant: why the hell do things like orca's always just stand in one spot when they're being fired on? I mean, user in control etc. etc. but there are some basic things that shouldn't happen, where the commander on the ground (air, wherver) - the AI in this case, should take over slightly (like move to the sides to avoid missiles).

Nod on Holiday = Secret Security Level... it's called "Party Time" Tell you what, it looks pretty impressive - makes me want to get my hands on a copy asap!

You're talking about his glasses right? Not that brick he has in his hand... right? Actually, I remember going on school camp and on the teachers getting that for emergencies. It cost the school a couple of hundered bucks for a 4 day camp. Just shows you where we were 20 years ago!

And then what comes after that? There is *always* going to be something new that is coming at some time in the future that will beat the hell out of the current technology. Unfortunately we can't stick around waiting for it to come In other news - if anyone in Australia wants a cheap DELL computer, check this out: http://www.microsoft.com/australia/teched2006/delloffer.aspx It's not to bad a deal (it's a couple of hundred less than the retail).
