The forums at commandandconquer.com will not reopen, at least not for the near term. If EA ever does anything else with the game then I suppose new forums will be in order but until then all we have are (other than wonderful fansites like this and like gamereplays.org) legacy subforums on the TA site.

Looks like legacy forums in TA is what we get. And my opinion, no special insight just an opinion, is that there is nothing simmering behind the scenes or why do this?

No official decision has been made as to whether the official forums will return or not. My gut tells me no but that is just a guess it is not supported by anything official. I get what they are trying to do there, TA is the only "active" (in EA's eyes) C&C game at this time but I just can't see the TA forums being a hub for legacy game discussion.

You look like you were doing a nice job of it yourself based on my wandering around the site for a moment or two yesterday What I'd really like to be covering is some news on Command & Conquer but all is pretty quiet. Still waiting on a final decision on the forums I will report back when I have it.

Be nice Sonic that is not exactly true. I'm not saying we are a fount of inside information we're not but Tethis speaks the truth here. The decision to close the forums or not is not 100% set in stone at this time although my gut is telling me that they are gone. We were told they would stay up and the placeholder site would link to them but that appears to have changed. We should know for certain pretty shortly. oh dear......lets play. I've not played either game more than once or twice in years.......but you take OP GLA and Quad spam and we'll see who wins CCG is pretty balanced at high levels of play there are map advantages and such but the play is pretty balanced. Zero Hour is pretty broken but USAF is the most OP faction in the game due to KR's and MDvee's. Sorry back on topic now I enjoy the philosophical APOC I have always looked at it that way and it pisses me off to hear people talk about CCG/ZH not being C&C. What they are not is Tiberian/Tiberium universe games but they are the finest examples of C&C ever created IMHO. Now keep in mind I'm not hiding my loyalties here. I love the fiction of the Tib universes and I mean that with all my heart but what makes my gamer pants go crazy is online. And CCG/ZH rock online. Have a nice day
