I think you know what this topic is about. Let's start with an example.
I came up with a design called the "Rage tank". It is a hover tank with four barrel repeating gauss cannon turret. When not using its cannon, the tank can move at full speed. When firing, speed is reduced because power is split between the cannon and enabling the tank to move. And when not moving at all, the tank is in artillery mode, and has maximum rate of fire. But to be in artillery mode, an aircraft has to send targeting data to command. This tank is excells against buildings and base defences, moderately good against vehicles, has a hard time dealing with infantry, and is completely defenceless against aircraft.
So how would I create this unit using the tools we have?
