    7 Hours To Go!

Wow. That was fast. I guess the people from the western hemisphere have to wait an even longer time. LOL. By the way, about 5 hours and 24 minutes to go as of this writing. Cooking mode. >

Who needs facepalm when you have FACEPLANT? These sudden glitches are oh so fun. And no other game makes me laugh as much as this does. >

    Petroglyph's 2010 Christmas Card

I remember that was once part of CNCNZ. At least, when their only game was Empire at War, we had a sub-forum for the game. Hehe. But seriously, I'm quite disappointed, the way that Petrolyph has turned out. And more so that they seem to care little for the community sites that want to support them. Well, it ain't the old Westwood.

    Now Playing - Games

Back on Halo: Reach's firefight mode. I love the crazy "ALL SKULLS ON" moments when everyone scrambles for cover. And I love being a Killionaire. >

Damn. That's one huge diss. But Starcraft won't win everything in my books; but it'll win a lot. But how I wish EA would step up it's game and make a C&C that would be award-worthy. (Real awards, not disses)

Should Valve make a Half-Life movie?

@Inferno. To each his own. It's your opinion, I won't meddle in it. But I do suggest you play through at least the first three games; and maybe (I won't jump to conclusions) you'll see things in a different light. Meh, I LOVED POP's story. But not the movie's. Far less deep than the game.

WHAT!? I never got an estimate above an hour (and that was about a hundred GB or so). Hm. You got me thinking why that happened. >.<

Nooooo! Stop dissing Halo. LOL. Just kidding. In all seriousness though, SC2 rocks. So far the best story development (and replay factor!) I've played. Halo gets my multiplayer awards, shooter and Xbox360 GOTY votes. But not overall GOTY. Starcraft II wins everything except competitive multiplayer for me (fun, but nothing changed for me). >

Dunno. I often hear about Intel and Nvidia together. After all, it just would make better sense... If ATI got a foothold in AMD, Nvidia shouldn't insinuate itself into that established foothold... But make a foothold of it's own. In another processor company, though. Meh, I'm satisfied with my loadout, sorry, rig, right now (gotta get Halo: Reach offa my head). I can edit videos well enough on this, and it runs Starcraft II on full graphic settings (and in high resolution, too!). I can live with this processor-motherboard combo for a few more years (2 at most).

Should Valve make a Half-Life movie?

Now that's a whole different definition of "suck." LOL. But I hate seeing the heart and soul of games (read: STORYLINE AND SCENES) get ripped apart to cater to a bloodsucking Hollywood production system that caters to people whose attention spans are as long as their goddamn nuts. >.<

    Windows 8

Defragment? Haven't done that since Windows 98. >.< In my opinion, the new Windows Explorer is kinda better (though not really perfect still). I mean, at least the copying time estimates have become accurate, plus it's much much easier to cancel copying (and it restores the files in pristine order when cancelling move orders). Virtual XP? Just run it in Compatibility Mode, Win XP SP2, that works fine by me. For recovery disk, there are plenty of good software out there; I personally use Acronis. Windows Media software have always sucked; no doubt about that. Even if you use XP, it will still suck. Meh, I can bear with downloading and installing VLC, Quicktime and iTunes. And for the games, uhm... Why not just install your own? Those games aren't even, ahem, awesome. No offense.

Good point. Crappy processor + good motherboard = bull**** PC. Good processor + crappy motherboard = same old bull****. The good process + good motherboard is more like the sweet spot. That's why we (my dad and I) always check out which companies support one another (i.e. Nvidia = Intel, etc.) so you get the most compatibility. Btw, we use Gigabyte motherboards. Awesome performance so far. >

Should Valve make a Half-Life movie?

Nah. In general, game movies suck, especially when meddled with by the Hollywood machine. Just look at Prince of Persia (****ed up storyline). Not to mention that the other characters, since they are the ones that do the heavy talking, will also be the ones doing the emotional lifting; the protagonist (Freeman) will end up becoming the best SUPPORTING actor instead. I rest my case.

    Tron Countdown

Hm, now I'm kinda envious. Gonna watch it soon (if my girl is free >). XD. Although I'll take everyone's advice and watch the ordinary version (IMAX and 3D will tear the hell out of my wallet).

@Malevolence, you got that right. If there was only one company making processors, then they could shoved half-assed hardware down our throats and we couldn't complain, because there's no choice. I remember a while back, when it was still AMD's time (Duron and Athlon series vs. P3 and P4), we were all AMD here. But since Intel had to one-up them, now have even better processors, thanks to that competition. The difference between AMD and Intel processors aren't huge, but if you budget is good to go, and you do need the extra oomph in your PC, well, I'd say that Intel has won the day. But if you don't need your PC to be THAT fast, and your budget isn't that big, AMD is the choice. At least, that's how I view it; no biases to brands, just plain old purpose and budget taken into context.

    Fixing RA2 and YR errors

I encoutered that glitch before. It was on Win 7 32-bit. Fixed it by reinstalling, then running as administrator in Win XP SP2 compatibility mode. If that doesn't work, then I have no idea what to do next.
