So it seems you really need to play with someone... Try having someone to play with (a local friend). If it still doesn't work (that is, he can play with you as host but you can't), then that's a dedicated server thing. If you can play, that means Renegade really wants you to play with someone. But if I remember correctly, MP practice allows you to play solo with a bunch of AI cannon fodder. >

I bet it's probably in the highest difficulty... Unless they made the game have a long SP campaign, plus with puzzles. The longest I had was 60+ hours with Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but that includes all the side quests and all the walking involved in that game. I think the longest campaign I played lasted about, what, 10 hours or so (but that doesn't include breaks yet, so, yeah).

@Sonic: 13 hours in what difficulty? > @Tore: Halo:CE? Then play reach. It's a lot like CE, imo, but with significant changes. Crysis was fun. Crysis 2 probably would be. Meh, I'd play it for the eye-candy and the action, not for the MP.

Yeah, Renegade is still fun... The diversity of weapons is just something EA can't replicate. Westwood was a master at that: diversity. But I can't go back to that anymore; I'm too much of a Halo nut already at this point. > But back to topic. If you encounter any more issues, just post; I'll be sure to answer within 24-48 hours. >

I expect to be blown away single player wise. But like I said, only time will tell if it succeeds in MP and tears Halo: Reach and COD: Black Ops from the grubby hands of MP addicts (like me!). Of course, there's Battlefield 3, which will most certainly be my second, if not best, MP game... I mean, is there any doubt that Dice will succeed?

Kane's Wrath Art and Sound packs released

Chrome to go then. Chrome is definitely more stable. Or you could try using Free Rapid Downloader. An excellent piece of Java-based freeware, it turns long queues of .rar downloads into Swiss cheese. You can Google it, but if you're feeling lazy, well, I can drop a download link here (I'm the one feeling lazy now). -
That's the demo. How about the full version? And don't forget to check if you have the dedicated server settings active.

@ Luk3us: The Japanese thing isn't really "misleading," and I never called it that. I did explain what Honne and Tatamae were, and while on I wouldn't define it as a cultural thing if it only prevails in the government sector (that would be political), the thing is, it isn't. It's prevalent in ever corner of Japanese society. The Japanese have such a high emphasis on honor and perfection that they would lie to retain that image. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honne And it's not just the U.S. networks; you'd have to diss all international news networks (from MSNBC to CNN to BBC) to say that it's just scaremongering, what they're saying. @Nmenth: I stand corrected. I really forgot my 3rd year chem class. >

Command & Conquer Generals 2 - We Want It
rSquar3d replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
If the number of fans increases significantly, I seriously doubt that EA won't listen. But that is, if that number increases, and if they think that they still have time to shift gears and go back to the drawing board. -
Kane's Wrath Art and Sound packs released

Try using Firefox, Google Chrome or RockMelt (my personal preference). Much more reliable than IE8. -
Fileplanet is notorious for jarring hard sell of its premium services. I still remember back in 2005, when I was downloading GTA: Vice City mods... It was a horrifying experience for a grade 5 kid to navigate through those pages and read all that stuff, just to get mods. But back to topic, @b11z, if you haven't downloaded this yet, well, there you have it. An alternate download link, guaranteed working. And that goes for everyone who wants the freeware version of TS too.

Title: Closer To The Edge Artist: 30 Seconds To Mars Album: This Is War Definitely one lovely song and one underrated band.

Lulz. Now that's just retarded. Radiation doesn't cause acid rain in the first place. It's hydrocarbons like CO2 emissions, and other stuff from factories. Talk about people causing more trouble in times like these...

"There goes the neighborhood." Or kingdom, if you really want to exterminate humanity. But hey, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is pretty long. And I mean VERY long. Plus there are a lot of side quests and mods that give it a ton of replayability... Although some of those mods are... Ahem. Questionable. Now playing... Well, actually, not playing. I'm making an assignment. >

Not sure if this is the freeware one (forgive me if it isn't, I couldn't check since I'm using the bandwith to DL some video clips for my work), but seems to be legit; it's hosted by IGN through their Fileplanet service, after all. http://www.fileplanet.com/210105/download/...Sun-(Full-Game)

Err... Spawn Spree is 5 team mates spawn on you... And this guy gets that medal AND ends up spawn killing them. >

Play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It has a real ending. LOL. Playing Guild Wars to finish the Prophecies campaign again.

Uuuum, I'm not supposed to say anything here, so I'll PM you something in a bit. > P.S. Confirm if package was received. >

Just got the Sunday Driver medal. In other words, I ran over 15 people in Halo: Reach. > I am a bad driver.

Best-Lock? I thought those were Mega Blocks (I saw those in a local toy store when I was browsing for Gundam 00 1:144 HG scale models). Or maybe same company with different brand names. >.<

Command & Conquer Generals 2 - We Want It
rSquar3d replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
@Nmenth: I think you're right. I mean, a game's development period can last (if they really want to make a good game) from two-to-four years. As an example, all the Halo games had 4-year development phases. However, Halo 2 faced a lot of changes midway (that is, in the two or three year mark; it was in their dev blog), and the game suffered from that. I am a Halo fan, but I'm not blind to its weaknesses. Taking that event into account, at how even an experienced and skilled team can actually make errors due to sudden changes in development, I think that, if they weren't planning a Generals 2 from the start, then chances are they wouldn't (and shouldn't) suddenly go back to the drawing board just to cater and make a Generals 2. As much as I loved Generals, and as much as a good Generals 2, with better gameplay, plot and graphics will please me, I go with the new IP crowd. New IP for the C&C series, a fresh start from the string of disasters since C&C4. P.S. Could anyone tell me how long they have been working on this already? P.P.S. Checked it already. If they're making an announcement later this year, then we can safely assume that they're off the drawing board already and working on key elements like the engine overhaul. To turn back and redraw everything would be a critical error, since it would put them off-schedule and possibly necessitate more changes than can be done with what time remains for the development. Imo, it would be better for them to focus, polish and perfect whatever they have on hand then discarding it just to cater to what some (it might be a majority or a minority, but it's definitely not everyone) want the next game to be. -
Hm, try to check if it is a dedicated server you're running. Dedicated servers mean (if you're not familiar yet) that you will be running the game ONLY as a server/host; you won't be playing the game. It is often done in tournaments so as to ensure that no single player has a slight ping advantage (esp. in Garena games), or in pub games so as to ensure that the server/host's resources are dedicated to handling traffic from the players, ensuring smooth gameplay.
