  1. Extremely well done! The ending was really nostalgic in it's own sense. And finally, an episode where the "bad guys"/Nod actually kick ass! I really like how you took an entirely different approach perspective-wise. The mobile scenes were very fun to watch with the vehicles driving around and all. I only wish you would have included that buggy a bit more than a few seconds, but the flash attack sequences kept me on edge nevertheless.
  2. I was kind of shooting for the amount of (positive?) interest players that continue playing have for the game. As for the Roundtable as a CNCNZ "thing", a bit of variety is always good to have.
  3. Pretty unorthodox... I haven't played this browser based madness in ages though.
  4. You could try disconnecting your DVD drive from the rest of the PC and see what happens. Same with any other non-essential component.
  5. Hooked up a new monitor today (same model). Display issue fixed itself with minor manual adjustments. The "old" monitor was obviously starting to act up. I think we're done here, thanks everyone for trying to help out.
  6. PROBLEM: I cannot adjust my monitor's screen to properly display anything at my monitor's native 16:10 aspect ratio resolution of 1680x1050. Both my graphic card's software (Catalyst Control Center, 2012) and monitor detect the upper border of the display area to be about 1 centimeter below the edge of my screen, so everything I view is dropped down below the screen as seen in the "edited" screenshot (the task bar is not shown because it has fallen down below the displayed area). This "bug" only happens at my "most native" resolution of 1680x1050 and only recently! All other resolution settings are perfectly alligned. The problem is that whatever method of adjustment, be it manual via the monitor's buttons, desktop properties/settings or other software detects that black line (upper part of the screen) as the adjustment border. IT IS NOT possible to move the screen more upwards via any adjustment method - if anything, the adjustment keys grey-out. The screen is at this state all the way from the welcome/log-on screen throughout any game of program. It's just horribly annoying. In short, I need to bring my display back up a couple of pixels so it doesn't cut the bottom part. The problem is, how? DETAILS: This all happened in a surprise screen refresh after I had installed a previously confirmed operational unofficial patch for an older PC game called Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. The patch by Wesp5 or something like that, version 7.9 (plus). The plus edition had an HD resolution patcher, quite simple. I installed everything and set the resolution to my native 16:10 aspect ratio. Everything worked like a charm until I exited the game a second time, then my display fell down like someone planted explosives underneath the bottom of my screen display. And I've been trying to work this out ever since. This graphical issue shouldn't have happened. It's also important to note that my monitor has had refresh rate problems and I'm currently experiencing a slight ghost-like Photoshop wind filter effect whenever I look at a white box or white text on say a forum or something... so yeah, my monitor is acting up. But until I manage to get another one and test everything out, I'd like to know if anyone has any other ideas on how to fix my display by any other means other than reinstalling my windows which is not an option at the moment. Oh and I believe this display problem has something to do with the terms "overscan" and possibly "underscan", but I'm not exactly sure. COMPUTER SPECIFICATIONS: Click my xifre signature below any of my posts to see what my computer consists of. I'm using WinXP Pro S3... THINGS I HAVE ALREADY TRIED TO FIX THE ISSUE: Graphic card driver re-installation. - failed Graphic card software re-installation. - failed Monitor-related fixes and re-installations. - failed Catalyst Control Center 2012 adjustments. - failed Desktop properties/settings adjustments. - failed Manual monitor screen adjustments. - failed (though it did bump everything up about 3 pixels) Monitor auto-adjustment setting. - failed THINGS I WILL TRY SOON ENOUGH: Hooking up another monitor as a test. - pending

Good one. How did you come up with the fake blossom tree idea?

    CNCNZ.com Staff Positions Now Open

What's unknown to some is known to others. Sonic, you have an incoming message.
  9. It's connected via DVI. I've checked for bent connection pins and everything seems to be alright. I've also recently exchanged the old cable with a "newer" one I found lying around and the results are the same.
  10. Wow, it updated right before my eyes. Pictures all done? Fast work. I have a feeling this season is going to be very special
  11. Nothing, it still won't budge... It's already at 0.0 from what I can tell.
  12. Wouldn't it be easier if the old massive news subforum was just renamed to "Older News Posts" or something along those lines and start fresh with the category-type organized forums that Sonic suggested in the first place? Couldn't something like that be pulled off to avoid having to dig up old news just to categorize them?
  13. Looks promising. Last time I played something like this was in primary school - some pokemon game. I'm getting a bit nostalgic. Any alpha/beta tests in mind for the future?
  14. Hey, it's zocom7, figured you'd be used to his "mysterious" ways by now. (and Plkoite_Wolf try and contact me somehow via Skype or something - I think your inbox is full because I can't send you a personal message)

    Windows 8... Again

I also use WinXP for most things on my personal PC, but I also use another one with both Win7 and XP installed (but rarely). I don't play any Win7-exclusive games or use any programs that require it. Using XP is my prefered choice because I'm just more used to it and don't like Win7's "fancy" interface and compatibility issues with older games and so on. It's just my OS of choice.

    Pic of the Day

-> "created by EomerSaga on 2012.09.10" Hey that's the guy that shared some of my legos on C&C Saga not so long ago (I think). Nice to see he's up to something, at least in digital form!
  17. It's nice to see some improvements along the SP lines, but I'm not exactly all that enthusiastic on how they'll pull it off. We'll just have to wait and see. Oh here's an idea, lets all very loudly request a new faction of dwarfs with speedy race cars.
  18. Nice to see things are moving along smoothly. Can't wait to see how the first episode turns out.
  19. I have to agree with Aircraftkiller on this one... it's just an advertisement picture. I would never put this as my desktop background. It even says "includes 17 games" which I won't even bother commenting.

EA Turns Its Back on Single-Player Games

I remember a time when SinglePlayer was the core element in most PC games, it was a wonderful time indeed. Hours of solitary fun, diving into virtual worlds and just... having fun. If you play an older game with obsolete graphics that you really enjoyed in the past and/or have fond memories of... people send assassins after you.

17 Years of Command & Conquer

Depends on your play style I guess. I had a really rough time with the double sided attack mission where you have to steal an Orca Fighter in order to attack a civilian village... on the PlayStation 1. I still have that flash video on my PC. In any case, lets all relive that one since we're sharing certain C&C moments:
  22. I hate to brake it to ya, but my computer's name is CABAL. It's just a reminder that lists some programs and stuff I need to install/fix/bang out with a hammer. I used that blue icon pack about 5 or 6 years ago, so I got a little nostalgic and well, one thing led to another.
  23. And yes, I do have another PC with Windows 7 for more up-to-date stuff.
  24. Wow, I can't believe you actually went with an exact copy of my troopers! You even equipped them with the good old Lego City policeman torsos (same as mine)! I even changed their hands to that dark gray color a few days after I posted that old "small Nod squad" picture! The design of the rocket infantryman is also an exact copy of my previous engineer model, but I scraped him ages ago (you can have his copyright ). In any case, WAY TO GO! Everything looks very pro-Nod! Though the officer's gas mask is a bit hard to see, but it's true to the Renegade style officer outfit nevertheless. And his chaingun really tops it all off! The new season is starting to shape up pretty nicely! Since your series is so popular, now everyone is going to call me a copycat when they get a look at my pictures. Once more, great job! EDIT: Additionally, if you're looking for a better chem warrior helmet, this set (8072 - Sea Jet - 2010 LEGO Atlantis) has a great model and is pretty cheap (this is the one I'm using for my chemtroops):
