yeah well, we all hate EA, they destroyed command & conquer, when i did a presentation thing about what i had to put in room 101 guess what i did. kind of controversial since all the people there were rabid playstation fanboy chav types, who loved their EA sports games. both have rights to be mammoth tanks, although overlords are not in any way related to mammoth tanks, & the mammoth mk2 isnt actually a tank.

migs are quad cannon fodder, with ap bullets & a few upgrades a quad cannon can take down a mig every second from a long way, plus send in a few technicals first to draw their fire away so the migs end up bombing right next to the overlord, making it even easier for the battle buses. & if you saw a mammoth mk1 rush, i guarantee it would be the last thing you ever saw, until you started another game that is.

well the black hole idea was another crazy idea of steven hawkings, get a miniature black hole, put it in a magnectic tube & it (hopefully) circles the earth umpteen billion times a second creating enough power to power the entire planet like 600 times over, but i have my doubts, his brain is turning to mush & he still makes claims like that.. anyway, good look in finding the secret of fusion, if you find it you could always tell good ol' imme so he can flog it on the black market :wink:

i think the best mammoth tank in the games was the origional mk1 mammoth from C&CTD, a mammoth in ra1, or apocalypse in ra2 wasnt really intimidating, every side had things that could get rid of them no problem. the mammoth mk2 wasnt really scary for that same reason, plus you could guarantee only 1, an overlord rush in generals? no problem for a few anti tank rockets shoved on something fast, like a battle bus full of RPG troopers. but the mk1 mammoth, there was nothing in the entire nod arsenal that could destroy it, & a rush of them would prove fatal easily, even if you had pumped up your base to the max with obelisks.

yeah come on, give us a clue as to where we are wrong, tell us how steven hawkings magic black hole power plant works, im curious. plus its doubtful that either of us are science super-brains, i wasnt the last time i checked but you never know. On the subject of power plants im quite surprised that the world isnt yet prepared for immenant loss of coal, oil & natural gas, we only have 100, 20, & 30 years left of them. what is gonna happen when they gone & the world is without power until it builds some better plants?

or suddenly realise halfway through that maybe maintaining a black hole, & giving it some nice tubular fuel circling round earth isnt really a good idea after all, black holes have no substance, how can a magnetic tube hold one in is anyones guess

yeah, but fusion aint gonna happen anytime soon, its just too goddam hard, there is too much energy involved to be used safely besides, fission will do for now if it saves lives. its still cheap, safe reliable power. or of course we could all listen to that weirdo steven hawking or whatever his name is & build a huge tube round the earth with a miniature black hole in the middle. :roll:

yes, but first we have to try to live without coal, oil & gas, which will run out immenantly, meaning massed areas will be without power, this will cause a great deal of death during winter, plus a lot of agriculture relies on electricity, so we are all going to starve too. then i will be laughing since the area i am in has undergone modernisation, with wind farms. if only people would just build the goddam nuclear power plants im sure a lot of deaths could be avoided.

dont forget, in the near future technology will be even more advanced. like the infamous grenade launcher launcher. bombard the enemy with weaponry, they will be so confused by the blatent bad tactics that you could sneak up behind them & club them on the back of the head

it is quite possible that in the race to develoop biological weapons that some damned fool comes up with a hyper resistant strain of bacteria or virus, such an uber-bug could easily spread across the globe, since it would be hard to issolate, leading to once again, the eradication of life on earth. isnt it all happiness & rainbows

If there was a world war 3 there is no way it would involve countries pouring nukes onto each other, that would be mad, quite literally, M.A.D. with technology at todays standard with every major country possesing nuclear capability one country fires a nuke, so the attacked country sends 2 back, in retaliation the first country & all its allies contribute to a nuclear holocaust that could not only completely destroy the country, but eradicate all life on earth through a painfully slow nuclear winter. if there was to be a world war 3, & face it, there will be sometime in the furture, it will probably still revolve around infantry tanks & aricraft.
