Earth is already a lost cause, that is because of what we are doing to it! Global dimming was disguising the effects of global warming, the pollution we were causing was saving us from ourselves, but now visual pollution is being cut down & global dimming is being reduced, global warming is going to cook our planet is less than a century if global dimming calculations are correct, we are allready doomed. As for souls, i don't believe in them, conciousness is fine, that is a fact & the universal consciousness theory is the only one surrounding it that makes sense. When our organic bodies die our consciousness will return to the universe as part of it where it came from, what happens then is unknown. Due to certain circumstances I stopped believing in God at around the same time as the tooth fairy.

Chaos Drones are pretty nasty if you can get them into the middle of a group of enemies, especially if they are already held up in tank warfare, i have many uses for them :wink:

I don't think there are many BBQ cookoffs here in Britain, but in the summer there sure are a hell of a lot of BBQs, usually 4pm till way past 12midnight & usually everyone has a bad hangover the day after, but they are a hell of a lot of fun. Never heard of BBQ competitions though.

No butcher... where on earth do you get your meat from? A supermarket? I hate supermarket meat, you don't know what they have done to it

You... have never heard of a pork pie! I don't believe it, pork pies are a favorite over here in Britain! Ever butcher sells pork pies! They are probably the best thing that butchers sell, they win award for their pork pies & every lunch time Brits of all ages flock down the shops just to get one. If you ever get the chance to try one DON'T HESITATE! All this talk of pork pies is making me hungry :wink:

I think the guys who said 5 portions of fruit & veg were hoping for a bit much, i usually don't have more than 3 or 4! My eating routine is so boring, poridge for breakfast, every day, then pop off to the butcher for a pork pie for lunch, every day, the only intesesting thing is my dinner, my mam allways puts in an effort to make it good

But the odds for it to happen are not completely impossible, just highly improbable, the formation of life is definatly not impossible otherwise i would not be sat here writing this, there is a chance that it could happen, even if it is a 0.googleplexgoogleplex1 it still exists, & in infinite time everything improbable will eventually happen. Im not saying anything spontaneously generated, & this theory is easily as plausable as the one in the bible, except there is more evidence that this theory is possible, wheras there is not so much to back up the bible. Im not critiscisng the bible, I may not be christian but the old testement particularly is very interesting in some of the things it advises, i just personally don't think it ever could happen.

I can understand where you are coming from, & I can see why you might think it that way, after all, America is a very religious country, but it just doesn't hit me saying "this is how it happened", after all, there is so much unaccounted for that I refuse to believe it. About the odds thing, no-one knows how old the universe is, it is hard to even speculate, some scientists think that the universe has always been here, even if it hasn't its age will be more than just serveral googleplex-googleplex years! A time so LARGE that IT may well be infinite. In an infinite universe near impossible things are nothing, if it truly is so large then it is more than possible that it would eventually happen.

In a universe the size of our anything can happen, the odds for all the building blocks of life to come together are very slim, but the universe is so big that it was bound to happen, that is why I also believe that their is life other than ours, although most likely far far away. The God theory is fine for religious types, but it just explains absolutely nothing to the rest of us.

McDonalds, blah, i hate that stuff, its not a burger at all, get some nice burger meat, grill it up properly & you'll never want to go back. I don't mind KFC though, occasionally, bu mostly I eat home-made food, its cheaper & it tastes better.

Creation does not nescessarily need a creator, it has been theorised that some particles can appear, just appear, they need nothing to create them at all, a force can appear at random without any intervention, this connects to the Big Bang theiry saying that if just one of these was to be created then the entire mass of the whole universe would be focused on one point, causeing that point to simultaniously gain energy. This is uber-complicated physics stuff, & im honoured to be taught by a Doctor who studies this stuff for a living. Skipping all the complicated bits this would lead to an explosion of matter of an immense scale, particles would gather & eventually the circumstances for the universe would come to play, leaving radiation scattered across the universe. That radiation has been found. A counter to the whole God theory, if God created everything, then what created God?

We have no idea what the real truth is, Christians will say its god, Muslims will say its Allah, scientists will say whatever the hell they like. The only way ever to find out is to die, & i don't plan on that anytime soon. Religions have caused deaths, some cultures find it hard to accept that other people are allowed an oppinion & don't allow them in etc. All these theories cause strife for no gain whatsoever. It is my firm belief that the world would be a happier place if there were no squabbles over theories, no holy wars or anything. I think if we all just accepted that we will never know there would be less problems to deal with, & I would not have to sit through stupid RE lessons twice a week :roll: .

Prescicely, Communism can only truly work if the whole world at once gets up & believes in its ideals, but there will always be people looking to take advantage of it, & through that it can never truly exist. Human knowledge of the universe & how it works is so limited that we cannot actually conclusivly justify any real explanation for the creation of the universe. We can no more comprehend how the universe works that a spider can understand how its brain works.

communism itself wasn't evil, nor was its principals evil, it was just the way that Russia practised it & used it as an excuse. Russian "communism" was not so, it was a dictatorship. The principals of Dark Energy is so that the galaxy cannot pull together into a big crunch, if it wasn't for dark energy we would already be pulling together due 80% to dark matter 20% to gravity, instead we are flying further & further apart, the work of dark energy.

I have to believe in that we don't actually HAVE a purpose, other than to reproduce & continue the survival of our species, the most substantial amount of evidence for the creation of human beings is the big bang theory, there is considerably more to back that than other theories, which would infact mean that human existance is an accident. I say that there is no room for god because, although you are entitled to your own oppinion, i believe that god does not exist. When our race was young & we had not "invented" science, people looked for ways to explain things, this lead to people thinking that thunder & lightening was the product of some kind of god being, who was angry at them, this lead to people thinking that this god person must have created the universe, which leads us to today, where science can create much more convincing reasons why we are here. However the tradition carries on. But that is just my oppinion, the younger generation of Brits tend not to believe in god, & the older generations who do very rarely go to church or anything, god just isn't as big over here as he is in america.

As for me, I study A-level history in a grammer school, im counted as one of the top 15% of intellegent people in this country & my history teacher is highly qualified & has written books about such subjects, i learn from HIM. If you think you are better suited than him to teach me about history then show me some qualifications.
