  1. I'd like to see what happens. It won't be like the old games, but that was assured when the team fragmented over 10 years ago. I liked what Generals added to the mix, so I'd also like to see what else could be added. And I still want another shooter in the C&C universe....
  2. The problem I have with the free to play model only appears in conjunction with the RTS model. EA will want to sell things to players in order for the game to make money. But what can you sell via microtransactions or otherwise, in an RTS, without altering the balance? In order to achieve those requirements, the sale items would have to be not units, not factions, not powers or upgrades or tiers. Any kind of progression in an RTS divides the community and unbalances the game whenever you play against someone who doesn't have the exact same access as you do. With that said, what's left? And that's why I say this is a bad thing.

    Renegade Event Needs Players Now

I couldn't find my C&C:TFD key code in time.
  4. I'm interested in participating, what would I need other than the Renegade install?

    I want me a Renegade

For Genre, I think another FPS could be done really well. Either a Battlefield style one, or a squad based shooter. Something with a larger scale than 16v16 cap. For storyline, I would prefer Tiberium. After Red Alert 2, I lost interest due to the overcamping. RA1 had some serious dark tones to it, and felt serious. RA2 traded that for jokes. For mechanics, my favorite RTS is Emperor Battle For Dune, with powerful infantry, in depth unit tactics, and completely different factions. More explanation and detail later.
  6. I'm interested. I've got some writing skills, though i'm not intimately familiar with the current community, my articles would be mainly about what ifs and fictions, though interviews with mod groups and networking would also be great.
