Hi.......... I am looking to MOD Kane's Wrath/Tiberium Wars to run at 120 FPS without losing any game speed.
However I am running into a few issues at the moment:
I am using VSYNC to cap the games frame at 120 hz/fps (after editing usefps, is their any other way to cap fps to a certain value besides 30?
1)I cannot find a gamedata.ini for my Kane's Wrath Installation( I am on version 1.02), why is this? In Tiberium Wars In patch1.09 big their is a gamedata.ini, in Kanes wrath 1.02 their is not...
2) For Tiberium Wars, I used the ingame speed slider to get fairly accurate to normal gamespeeds however their was still 15 seconds of variance between normal game speed and the altered game (Tested by building superweapon and a timer. (FPS did not drop below 119 at any time)
Is their anyway I could be , a little more accurate with the timing perhaps(some numerical value I could input in a text file over an ingame slider)? I would like to get as close to normal game speed as possible.
3) A big problem I am having, and was wondering if I could mod, is animations speed. Currently units function normally but in game animations are playing waaaay too fast (approx 4x faster).
This is esp noticeable with buzzers and certain other units, objects and buildings as well as in game props (billboards, trees etc)
4) OFF TOPIC: Would it be possible to also mod RED ALERT 3 to run at 120 hz (while also slowing animations by 4x, as well as gamespeed)?
I cannot find a gamedata.ini anywhere in the RA3 files!
5) Can I also do this to tiberium twilight as well?
If anyone could give me some advice in this matter it would be greatly appreciated...
Other then these small changes I do not plan on modding anything...............this is the main thing I want to do, to mod all SAGE ENGINE games to run at a higher framerate without changing gamespeed and modding animations to run slower according to the higher speed.
