I had KW almost 2 months now & I had problem with this black stuff. I dunno what you call it.

 

This happen only on Nod & Scrin.

 

Whenever Redeemer emerge, this black thing appear. But after that, the black thing disappear after redeemer walk away. Not happen to other unit.

 

 

Also on Scrin Warp Chasm. When you destroy it the black thing appear & become invisible when hp turn red.

 

 

 

Also on Traveler's unit the Cultist. Are they suppose to be invisible? Because enemy turret doesnt identify it stealth & enemy unit will kill 'em on the spot without detector.

if it iron curtain, i would spam tripods & devastator...

 

i would say its graphical bug but i dunno what cause it.

What video card do you have? What are system specs?

 

What's happening here is what's known as "artefacting". This is caused by out dated display drivers, a possible faulty video card or over heating of the video card. So the first thing to try would be to download and install the latest drivers for your video card.

 

If you have an NVIDIA card go to http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

If you have an ATI card got to http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

 

If that doesn't solve the problem then check the temps of your video card or consider that it could be faulty.

if that the case, why it happen on specific object or condition?

(i'm sorry for my ignorance, but IT is not my strong point)

 

i might try this later once i got to town as i'm using broadband with 2G technology...

its really troublesome getting good service in rural area.

I didn't see your post mentioning the ATI Radeon Xpress 1100. Anyway, the ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 is your motherboard chipset. And going by this page, http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Produc...5E14615,00.html, it appears your using the onboard video this chipset provides. Your video card is the Integrated ATI Radeon X300 GPU.

 

Onboard or integrated video cards are not good for gaming, especially for something like C&C 3 or Kane's Wrath.

 

So as I said before, try updating your display drivers, download from http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst...p=xp/radeonx-xp (for Windows XP) or http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.../common-vista32 (Windows Vista).

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

 

If you've done what Sonic said and it doesn't work, try reinstalling the game. If that doesn't work, say so and there's way to test for artifacts.

i'm using laptop (yeah, not good) & getting new desktop soon. I'm having C&C3/KW just for the sake of playing.

..and i'm not good with IT thingy...

 

for time being, i leave this thing first & see if this happen to desktop.

 

so, pretty much case close. unless if there is another tips, recommendation or someone with same problem, you guys can close this topic.
