Even More Red Alert 3 News

[Sonic 298]

A few other miscellaneous Red Alert 3 items to mention before the weekend hits us. I figured it would be easier to post them all in one update rather than splitting them up.

• Patch 1.06 for the Red Alert 3 Beta was made available yesterday on the Official Red Alert 3 Site. This patch fixes a few bugs with some very critical balance implications, most importantly the Assault Destroyer fix. Its a patch that is intended to be a small hot fix, so don't expect a huge amount of balance or technical fixes. The goal was to address only a few critical issues. Head over to the Beta section on the Official Red Alert 3 Site for the download.

• Staying with the subject of the Red Alert Beta. Registration for the beta was officially closed as of September 16th. And the Red Alert 3 Beta Servers will officially close sometime after Midnight Pacific Standard Time on September 26th. This gives beta testers just under a week to get in as much playing time as possible. They have to be to shut down to ensure a smooth transition for the launch the of retail version on October 28th.

• XBox 360 Red Alert 3 fans can now get the Kelly Hu as Suki Toyama Theme and Gamerpics from the XBox Live Marketplace. The theme is 150 MS Points, while the Gamerpics will set you back 100 MS Points.

• Details about the special Warhammer Online exclusive in game item, that's available when you pre-order the Red Alert 3 Premier Edition or standard edition, have been posted on Official Red Alert 3 Site. The item is called "Kossar's Helm". These are very rare helmets that players can obtain for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning only by purchasing Red Alert 3. More details and a trailer can be found right here.

I would buy WAR just so I could use that awesome helmet.
