Tiberian Sun last GDI mission...

Recommended Posts

...It's the hardest mission ever.

The countdown timer goes wicked fast, and the Nod artillery get me every time. They're everywhere and they're freaking powerful! I haven't tried it a TON of times, but the times I tried it I got totally annihilated. Oh well. Any tips?

Well, to the south there is an island on which Kane has his pyramid. It is heavily fortified with SAMs, but not much else. Find the island with an HMLRS, then Fly an Orca past it to reveal the SAM positions, then you should be able to take one or two of the SAMs out with an HMLRS shooting up and over the cliffs (depends on the SAM placement). If not, you're going to have to attrition your Orcas to take out one or two of the SAMs. Then fly in an AAPC full of Engineers through the SAM gap you created and capture the Pyramid. There's a little bit of buildable space on the island, so you can build yourself a foothold; I recommend a barracks, so you can build Disc Throwers and take out the rest of the SAMs, allowing you to airdrop equipment with Carryalls at any time.

The island is connected via bridge to a main Nod base that has one of the ICBMs in it as I recall. Send a force over the bridge and take out the ICBM, which should reset the countdown timer, giving you time to take out the other 2 ICBMs.

But yeah you need to tech up fast, so send your Harvesters to any blue Tiberium you can find. There's a blue tib field to the northwest of your base up on a cliff.

That mission was cool. :) I think it was better than the Nod one, where you had to plant those ICBMs. :)

Thanks for the tips. TS and RA2 (and their expansions) are the only C&C games I haven't beaten. Not only have I played them the least, but I think they're the hardest, too.

I can't really tell you the story behind the last mission because I haven't played it in so long. Sorry.

Nod has 3 ICBMs pointed at the Philadelphia space station, and the Tiberian missile pointed at the world. Also Umagon is being held hostage by Kane. So GDI comes to the rescue.

Those are the good old times when the missions are really interesting.
