I encountered a couple of problems while installing Tiberian Sun and the 2.03 patch on Windows XP Pro. Below I have detailed the problems and solutions that worked for me. Maybe this will help others.

Problem: The install of Tiberian Sun seems to halt right before installing files.

Solution: I was patient, and waited. It seemed stuck at first, but then properly installed after a 30 second or so delay. A similar delay happened near the end of the installation. Again, it finished okay after a suspensful delay. :-)

Problem: The 2.03 patch fails with message "Missing or Invalid Registry/INI entry".

Solution: This error is followed by a file explorer window opening titled "Find HKLM.SOFTWAREWestwoodWOLAPI.InstallPath". This refers to a registry entry. When I looked up this value in my registry, it was there, and had the path to the SUN.EXE program in the Tiberian Sun install directory. I therefore tried selecting SUN.EXE from the install directory and clicking the "Open" button on the file explorer window. This worked, and the update completed successfully.

Most new games bore me, but I still have fun going back to Classic C&C sometimes. :-) Enjoy!
