Buddy building a comp

Recommended Posts

So I've been told to build a comp for a buddy of mine, on the cheap. (Read ~$1k NZD)

  • Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz CPU
  • Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H Motherboard (1156)
  • 4GB Kingston ValueRam KVR1333D3N9K2/4G DDR3 1333MHz Dual Memory Kit
  • Asus DRW-24B1LT Dual Layer SATA DVD Writer, Black
  • NZXT Beta ATX Tower Case, No PSU, Black
  • 120mm Raidmax Sigma Series Red/Black System Fan x3
  • Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit DVD (OEM)
He already has a GFX card and I have a spare 620w PSU. What ya think?

I wouldn't call it cheap if you ask me :badpc: , Anyway it's good and not bad at all..

Is that RAM 1.5V or less? Intel's Core iX series doesn't play well with high voltage RAM. I'd recommend GSkill over Kingston anyway since it's still just as cheap and has more oomph to it.
