Kirbyarm 0 Posted November 8, 2010 So it seems RA3: Uprising was released after many of the patches for the original RA3 were made, thus a lot of the mentioned patch notes are hard coded into the game without the ability to downgrade or reinstall a fresh, version 1.0. Of course this isn't really a problem, just an observation to help my start points. I notice there is a large lack of multiplayer in this expansion, which is a problem to many, but definitely not for someone like myself who likes single player RTS. (Defense Tower strategy game fan, big time). Surfing the net for hours, I could not find any useful stats about unit / structure specifics, besides very vague patch notes, and this one person's (incorrect) charts with unit damage and rate of fire which has been dead in the water for over a year it seems. My project is simple, yet will lead to a possible interest in my writing of some potential modding tools. I've been hacking into the game for days trying to find where memory addresses are stored in the game, so I am able to see unit health etc. but to no avail until just a few hours ago.. realizing unit health is not an integer to the game! In fact I have seen units reach health amounts like '342.09112546343' which made it hell to figure out at first. Thank god for medic camps and armor repair facilities, let me tell you. Here are some examples: Javelin Soliders 100 Health 5 Damage (Normal) *To peacekeepers* 8 Damage (Lock-on) *To peacekeepers* 2.5 Damage (Normal) *To javelins* 4 Damage (Lock-on) *To javelins* Peacekeepers 150 Health Note: I had to round these damages up.. they were at LEAST 10 decimal places in for damage.. weird, yeah? 29.4 Damage (Far) *To peacekeepers* 37.9 Damage (Close) *To peacekeepers* 44.1 Damage (Far) *To javelins* 56.9 Damage (Close) *To javelins Last note of interest while figuring this stuff out.. Attack Dogs They deal exactly 201 damage to infantry. Reduces Tanya's 300 HP to 99 exactly, thus she is able to survive a single bite. Useful in combination with her time belt, should something happen. They cannot attack Cryo Legionnaires either. Any thoughts on whether or not I'm wasting my time hand-tracing all of these types of values? Share this post Link to post
