I had no problems with C&C3 under Windows 7 x64.

C&C 3 uses HD video for the cinematics, so if your system isn't up to running HD videos than that's probably your problem. You can always do the simple thing like checking your display drivers are up to date.

What video card are you using? Your full system specs will help too.

Intel Core i7-2670QM @2.20GHz

8G ram

Nvidea GeForce GT 540M (is a laptop by the way)

and to save power, it also has a Intel HD graphics 3000 to handle stuff when high performance is not required

many thanks!!

and just checked, windows said both graphic card driver are up to date

i have given it a try again, and this time, i accidentally discovered what causing the problem, just don't know how it affected it... it seems if i use the graphic preset, in my case ultrahigh, the video would be fine. But if i mess around the setting, like changing the terrain detail higher or lower, or increase or decrease the anti aliasing score, forcing the setting to become "custom", the video would laggy!! even if i increased the anti aliasing level and then decrease it manually (1 is the preset score), the same problem occurred!! its almost like being a "preset" is so damn important to this game.... very strange, but seems the primary problem solved... but i do want the AA to go beyond 1 cause this is my new pc after all, do want to stretch its joins a little bit...

hi, is me again. I know i am answering my own question, i want to share this with people have had similar problem and yes, i found a way!! without forcing myself to use the preset and using score 1 to the anti aliasing that is.

I went to my game profile folder which is under wins 7, your name, AppData, Roaming, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, Profiles, your game user name (in my case: Keith), options (open with wordpad if you can't open in).

In there, there are a lot of goodie, go look for:

IdealStaticGameLOD =??

and in my case i am using every high; ultrahigh that is, so i replaced the ??(low was the default i think) with UltraHigh, now in game change your AA value above 1, and the video should still be fine, better i think, cause when i had to play by my game's rule, it was a bit too fast, anyway, subtlety stuff.

so Sonic, my man, may be you can pin this topic, please??

thanks!!
