Does the Mod SDK work with the Ultimate Collection?

Recommended Posts

hi, is actually two main question though...

does mod SDK works with the "Ultimate Collection"?

and the second part of the question is that I noticed the SDK for Red Alert 3 been described as better than the SDK for Tiberium Wars, so can the Red Alert 3 one be used on Tiberium Wars?? ok, there actually a third one :)

I recalled that on the old Download section of CNCNZ, there was the source code for the engine of Tiberium Wars as well, but now its gone, can anyone tell me where can i get one of those?? cause, i have been thinking if its possible to port the graphic engine of RA 3 Tiberian Twilight to Tiberium Wars?? do you guys thinks its possible??

but anyhow i need to know if the "Ultimate Collection" would work with SDK and mods before investing time into some projects....

but still, would hate the fact that even playing TW and RA3 or even RA2 would be required to login to origin... damn EA...

Thank you guys!!!!!

Keith

From personal experience i can tell you, that if SDK uses own launcher it won't work with Ultimate Collection, because for no reason games won't start without Origin thing.

What concerns the "engine thing": doesn't TW and RA3 are built on same engine? It should've work, but again i'm not sure... i hope that helped.

  1. The SDK itself is not bound to any specific version of TW. Also mods do work for every one. However, you need fixed game launchers to be able to run mods with the Ultimate Collection.
  2. There is nothing worse or better. Both SDKs do exactly the same: compiling maps and mods for their game.

thanks!!!
