Wrong version?

I have not played RA2YR on the internet in about 4 months I got bored of it after playing it for 2 years consantly but now i am unabile to join online matches. I have fully upgraded RA2 and YR from the westwood website to no avail. Can someone help? i have run out of ideas!

How bout reinstalling and trying again?

Try removing any mods you might have installed. If all else fails, reinstall.

i dont have any mods and i just reinstalled it

i had that same prob...

 

i thought the problem was this:

 

when i autoupdated, the files would download then hang there... i would hit "cancel" and it would then install... odd but it seemed to work fine..

 

then, i couldnt join due to "wrong version" errors, so... i downloaded the updates via the website which overwrote the other ones. installed fine but still had wrong version error.. then tried another hosts game and no problem... i think SOME people are running old or hacked versions so you can join.. try creating a game instead or finding a normal host...

well, the westwood site is dead. nothing happens to it. you can only donload some stuff from it

That usually means either you or the host has mods of some sort running.

Use http://marshall.cannis.net/]Marshall's clean-up program. It will remove any debris left by mods.
