Zero Hour Connection Error

Recommended Posts

Guest hamburglar

Hey,

I've been playing with no problems for about a month. All of my firewalls are off (Windows XP Firewall was the only one my computer had), my router's DMZ Host is on, I hit send delay in the options menu... Everything is perfect, it's been working perfectly with no lag for a month.

Today, though, I hit login with my account (it was on 'Remember Info') and it told me 'Could not connect to Generals Zero Hour Online'. It hasn't worked for about an hour and it sucks, I don't want this to remain this way. If anyone knows how to fix this, I would really appreciate your help.

Peace

You usually have to give things like this 24 hours. If after the 24 hours you still can't connect then you start looking at other options.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, let's hope that's it because right now I couldn't log in either. It's not my account because I tried my friend's and I tried making new ones with different e-mails, etc.

Peace

Someone must have a idea what winkman's problem could be. He can connect to the game to update but when he tries to go to online play he is unable to connect. He has diable firewall through XP and has even connected straight to his modem to bypass his router. Nothing, still cannot connect. He installed the game on a spare machine he has and was able to connect which leads me to beleive it is a hardware problem with his laptop, even though he used to be able to connect and play with his laptop in the past. Anyone have any suggestions on what hardware problems would cause this, i am thinking nic, or ethernet card am i way off? or could this be the culprit?

Just so everyone knows and maybe it will help someone else out he found the probleam via EA tech support. It seems that the new ver. 8 mcafee virus was the problem, it must have a built in firewall or something but that is what was causing him not to connect. As soon as he shut it down BAMN! he was able to connect.
