Throwback Thursday for 18th August

For Throwback Thursday this week we are looking back at another hard to explain part of Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight from 2010. During the development of this not so warmly received game it was stated that Tiberium, a central part of the story from the previous games, was no longer the focus and they were moving away from the traditional resource harvesting methods. The community complained, and to their credit, EA did listen. But what they came up with was the "T.E.U. Lifter". In order to get Tiberium back on the battlefields, EA's answer was to have these contraptions drop green and blue Tiberium crystals from orbit onto specially placed Idris Corpiration drop pads. For any GDI or Nod unit to collect and use to bolster their resources. This was a lame game mechanic, a quick fix solution that made no sense story wise.

Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We also encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
