error message online

When ever i try to join a game online i get the same message: Failed to join- game is a different version. And i don't understand... i got the 1.6 patch and checked for updates, and it said there were none, please help! :cry:

mods. its what they do, it makes the game a different version and so you cant sync with each other

 

if you have no mods i dont no

Uninstall the game and make sure that all files from Program FilesEA GamesCommand & Conquer Generals and Program FilesEA GamesCommand & Conquer Generals Zero Hour have been deleted.

 

Now re-install Generals. Update the game to v1.06, get the full update from http://www.cncnz.com/files/generals/patches.shtml.

Then install Zero Hour if you have it.
