This file contains invalid data

I installed TFD and tried to install the 1.03 rev4 update but every time i do it gives me a "this file contains invalid data" error 11FD. ive tried to reinstall TFD and re downloading the patch but nothing works.

Im on windows 10 home 64bit

update: i just tried installing it on my laptop running win7 and im getting the same error but for a different file.

Sounds like your TFD installation/disc is corrupt, or you did not run the patch as administrator as it tells you in the first screen.

I tried running the patch as administrator, same issue. The disc was dirty which i cleaned properly, still a few minor scratches.

I was able to find a old version of the patch (rev2) and that installed fine.

I also downloaded CnCNet5 YR installer and that got me so i can play red alert 2 and yuris revenge but i still cant get generals and zero hour to run.

Would the ultimate edition be a worthy buy? any word on how well that works on windows 10?

Something must've gone wrong with the download, then. I downloaded the file myself and checked its hash against an archive I have from many years ago, they are the same.

If you already have TFD, not really. It still needs considerable patching out-of-the-box, because all they did was use TFD 1.01 builds and instead of checking the disc, the games check for an Origin/EA App connection.
