Mismatch Error Hell

Hi!

 

I can play online all day and everything is fine and then some days I just get mismatch error after mismatch bloomin error. Is there a fix for this! Does anyone else suffer from this curse.

 

I am playing behind a router but all the ports are open and it is set up correctly also some days it works perfectly.

 

My spec:

 

MSI K8N Neo Platinum mobo

Athlon 64 3200+

1Gb DDR 400 (Corsair LL Pro)

2xMaxtor Diamondmax Plus 9 HDDs

Geforce 6800GT

Sharp LL-172-G-B TFT

Audigy 2 ZS

Logitech MX700 mouse ;-)

 

Is there a fix for this. It is driving me up the wall. I am fully patched and just reinstalled and repatched!

 

I have no mods installed, clean install, and no I am not a hacker and yes this is a legitimate copy of Zero Hour and Generals.

While there is probably nothing wrong at your end the problem may be with the people your trying to play. They could have modified game files.

I sense either spyware or needing a defrag.

I doubt it's spyware as I run Spybot regularly and Adaware occassionally and my machine is squeeky clean. I also use Firefox as my primary browser. WIndows is fully patched and I run NOD32 antivirus (which is exceptionally good). My disks aren't fragmented either (I have defragged already this week).

 

I usually play CNC with my m8 from work. He thought his machine might be the problem so he has done a format and reinstall.

 

I have played other people online and had mismatch errors so it may be my machine.

 

Every other game I own has no problems at all.
