World Builder is crashing, also I have issues with extracting files. Please help.

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have idea on making a custom mini campaign and I want it to have "similar feel" like the original missions. To do this I want to extract and open original missions to see how exactly things are done there.

I want to be able to make mission objective briefings like on start of every missions (you know, the camera zoom in and outs, objective marked ect) and also slightly modify units (in GDI campaign there is a MasterMind which can attack like normal commando. This kind of stuff!

I also want to extract some EVA sound files to make an AI voice to add into the map as narrator.

So far I have been able to actually extract the map with BIG editors and World Builder does see it, but when I try to open it, it crashes.

Also I did extract files which should contain sound files, but when I use Bibber's extraction tool, it does see the manifest, but there are no files to extract from there.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate that. I even tried to contact MasterLeaf and other active people directly, but I have no response..

I did find some WB tutorials, but they are very... meh! Most of CnC3 related stuff already expired or was deleted : (.

The Worldbuilder has issues with present-day systems.

You can apply the 4 GB patch on it: https://ntcore.com/4gb-patch/

Or, if you're not comfortable with that, go to View -> Set LOD (last option in the list) -> Very Low or Low.

Unfortunately it did not help at all (I think I had 4k patch already, but did that just in case). Same error.
Any ideas, please?
