DjSiXpAcK14 0 Posted March 16, 2005 Hey guys, I'm having a problem with Tiberian Sun. After installing it (I've tried it on 2 computers) and running it, I can hear the intro movies, but I can't see them. Then, when I get to the main menu, I can see the cursor, but the rest of the screen is blank. I've tried it with and without the 2.03 patch, and with two computers both running on Windows XP, one with an nVidia Geforce4 and one with an ATI Radeon 9200SE. I've also juggled around compatibility mode, but nothing seems to work. I can't find an XP patch. Anyone else have a similar problem and figure out how to fix it? Thanks, Benn Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted March 19, 2005 There are no XP patches for Tiberian Sun. Make sure you copy is up to date by installing the latest patch from http://www.cncnz.com/files/tibsun/patches.shtml I think the your experiencing the problems with the display because of a DirectX issue and out dated display drivers. If you have not installed WinXP SP2 download and install DirectX 9.0c from http://www.cncnz.com/files/support/drivers.shtml#dx9 Next, download and install the latest display drivers for your video card(s) Nvidia: http://www.cncnz.com/files/support/drivers.shtml#forcexp ATI: http://www.cncnz.com/files/support/drivers.shtml#atixp This may solve it.
