1.Where can I get the Text file for general, the one used in the logo?

2.What is THE most active C&C generals board, and where is it?

3.Is it an this a relatively easy game to mod with?

1. Text file used in the logo? :? Don't understand what you mean sorry.

 

2. The most active Generals forum is probably the official forum at http://boards.ea.com/messages?13@@.1de8e6a...&decode=999

They are popular but not as nice as our forums here at CNCNZ.com 8) :wink:

Seriously the official Generals forums are horrible.

 

3. I'm no expert when it comes to modding Generals, I would assume there is slight learning curve. However with the right tools and advice from experience modders you should be ok.

1. I think you mean the font used in the logo? We don't have that, no. I guess only EA has it...

 

2. Generals Official boards are hard to read with small fonts. We have nice fonts here

 

3. It depends on what you want to change. You can use TibEd 2 (http://www.tibed.net) to do some simple stuff like make units faster/stronger, but of course, the cooler stuff takes a lot more effort and might not even be possible with TibEd 2.

Thanks, I want to start a new mod, making a new side!

 

I have worked on several mods for other games, such as Total Annihilation (admittedly VERY modable, the only real RTS game ever )

 

Another thing, how come you can’t attack files to these topics?

i am working on getting a mod group set up. let me know if you are interested. to this day i have modded every single CnC made and it would be good to see a good response from people again. lemme know

Another thing, how come you can’t attack files to these topics?

Our forums, phpBB do not support this feature. There are no plans to add it either. Your free to post links to any files that are uploaded to a server somewhere on internet though.
