Generals Installation Problem

hi, im new to the site and i was just wondering some things about generals. i bought zero hour, but when i go to install it, it gets an error saying that command and con.exe has generated an error log or something like that. please is it my CD or PC or Drivers or what? i am pushing a pretty big rig of about 6 months. thanks in advanced.

I get the same problem, tried everything. Pretty sure I ruled out the CDROM and the CD as the problem.
