CainStar 0 Posted June 17, 2005 Has any of you encountered this problem before. I just installed Red Alert 1 and did everything so it should work in Windows XP including downloaded and extracted the file in to the Red Alert dir and everything work fine for some time. After about 5-20 minutes of play the game just simply freezes. Now I have figured away to avoid this, well atleast I think it works, the way to avoid this bug is to simply save every 5 minutes. This little bug, if you can call it that, is very anoying. I was hoping that if there is some one who knows how to get ridde off this or maybe provide some soft answer I would realy appriciate this. Hans5849 0 Posted June 19, 2005 little advice get a better sound card, its not related to this at all but im trying to improve your experience here (EMU0404 = sweet Audigy 2= ok) Yea, i gave up on trying to run red alert on windows XP, im just going to install 98SE on a 600mhz computer and use that to run red alert, command and counquer, and any other games that won't work in XP. But heres a little trick i discovered when i was dual booting 98SE and 2k. You can install RA in 98 and play it in XP with no problems. Share this post Link to post
