Emergency Landing at LAX

Recommended Posts

A JetBlue Airplane just had an Emergency landing at LAX a few hours ago... It's front wheel was twisted sideways, and bent up a bit, so they had a little trouble landing, as you can imagine...

JetBlue Landing

The pilots landed it perfectly though, and nobody was injured, and it was so good they didn't even have to use the emergency exits, and those little slides... I saw it unfold on the news myself...[/url]

Ya, I saw that too, those pilots are very skillful, see how he made it stay in the middle of the runway? Awesome.

That really doesn't matter though, they knew that was going to happen. A wheel doesn't compare with 100 something lives.

YEah, a "text book" landing... honestly I hate when they say that. Cause that isn't something they prepare for, it isn't in the text book, so they shoudn't give the textbook more recognition than the pilot... :?

EXACTLY!

Theyre trained for that. Pilots I know said they expect it to happen more than once in their carrer

This incident just happened to be near a TV crew in LA with planes that have sattelite TV

I wonder how they "train" them to land with a wheel sideways... :?

It would be interesting...

I would hope so...otherwise it would be...less safe to fly on airlines, especially some of the new Airbus's: they've had problems with them
