HydroShok 0 Posted October 7, 2005 I've got a remote server and I would like to run C&C generals zero hour on it so I can play it with some people from work. Normally I run shooter games. I can't find any admin forums for C&C, and I don't currently have it installed. Just searching around, I have to guess there must not be a ded. server download anywhere. Of course I could just upload the disks to my server, but I only have a puny upload of 128k at home. It would take days, and it might create a duplicate cdkey problem, when I try to play from home. Can somebody give me the low-down on dedicated server for CNC? My server doesn't have a graphics card like a regular comp so i dont want to run the game so to speak, I'd like to fire it all up at the command prompt. :? I literally cant find nothing on google or when i searched for "dedicated" at these forums. :?: Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted October 7, 2005 I think this has been asked before............ There is no dedicated server for Generals or Zero Hour. The game doesn't support and/or was never designed to be used like that. The only multiplayer options are via internet on Generals Online or setting up a LAN. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted October 8, 2005 Yup all C&C games (except Renegade) are P2P with an intenet or LAN matching service. Share this post Link to post
