Adding computer controlled units in WorldBuilder

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm a total newbie at WorldBuilder, and was just wondering how you make units (such as tanks) start attacking when beginning a skirmish game. I was hoping to modify a fan map by adding a large number of tanks, infantry etc., half of which is controlled by the computer, and the half controllable by me. In effect a large battle. Are there certain settings you have to change for each individual unit to make them computer controlled? So far units I have placed only come up as “neutral” units. I would appreciate any help.

To make the units to be computer controlled, you got to make the script. Just go to the map scripting menu. You will need some scripting skills there, but basically it's just about if...then....else, basic logic. Since I think there is not much good ZH mapper here, you won't get much information about ZH mapping here.

If you want what i think you want, then you dont need scripting, just world builder.

place your "enemy" units and stuff, then your units, then goto

Edit>Player List, and select the civilian faction, or the faction you chose to be your enemy, and select your faction in the "enemies" box.

There, you have your enemy.

If you want them to rush into you, then all you have to do is place way points and assign each unit to a waypoint(or multiple units).

Dont ask me how to do the waypoint thing ^^
